Loud. Very loud. Parking is atrocious, but it is in Green Hills. I had the pan seared chicken, my wife the fish tacos, and my child the kid's burger. Out of them all, my chicken was the only one not dry. Portions seemed a bit lacking, for the price. Service was good, and the staff quite friendly. I would not go out of my way to eat there again, with so many other restaurants in town doing healthy eating better.

I love & embrace the concept. The service was perfect. The noise level was almost unbearable, even though we made reservations (must do!) for late lunch. We decided to get takeout, but hostess found seats a tad quieter in back. The $5 antioxidant tea tasted bitter & not good & carbonated. My ancient grain bowl with tofu was well prepared & I enjoyed the quinoa the most. Everything else was bland, except for sweet potatoes glazed with miso & sesame seeds. Hubby disliked his steak tacos, saying it was tough & accompanying beans were too spicey to eat. May consider some of their salads as takeout in future, but I will not dine in. The noise level & music choice is in sharp contrast to the healthy anti inflammatory menu & vibes I expected.

I dined here a second time before I posted a review to make sure my first experience was not just a fluke. I was not particularly impressed with true food kitchen. Poor service was my main takeaway both visits. On my second visit we were the very first visitors to arrive and place orders. We were served last at our section of about 7 other tables after I asked my server to check on our food. My food was under room temp which is unacceptable but I was too hungry to wait another 30 minutes. I have to say the recipes are very creative and I like the atmosphere. I really hope they can improve things. With the quality of chefs and restaurants in Nashville they won’t last another 6 months if they don’t improve. I am optimistic they can turn things around though!

We used to really like this place the first few years they were open but the past year or so the service has been terrible. Sometimes the food is good, but the service is always terrible.

The drinks didn't arrive until after our meal and we had already finished our appetizers. I had the salmon meal and it came out cold as did the pizza. Definitely a lackluster meal for what we paid

Food was not all that with a poor presentation on a cold plate, drinks late and not served as ordered with napkins, no straws, coffee with no spoons, cream or sugar, no call back on forgotten items. We brought out of town guests and it was so slipshod that it was embarrassing. This has happened both times I visited so we won't be back. For what we are paying we expect decent basic service and an appetizing plate. Waitstaff obviously untrained and over tasked.

The korean noodle bowl was way too oily. Almost made it soupy. I couldn't finish it, the oil was way too overwhelming. I added steak, so it was a waste of a $26 bowl. I didn't even know there was oil in it. I have gotten this bowl 10X at the South Florida True Foods, and it was stellar everytime. This was my first and likely last time visiting the Nashville True Foods. We were so excited to have a little piece of FL, and ended up so disappointed with the food quality. The service was outstanding, as well as the atmosphere.

The ambiance was friendly, bright and clean. However the service was slow and very disjointed and they weren't even busy. For starters we received our drinks and appetizer before we even got our water, even after we asked. The worst part was the appetizer. They tout themselves on being able to accommodate dietary restrictions, so we ordered the edamame guacamole with gluten free pita. A different server brought it out and I tried to verify...it was NOT gluten free (glad I asked). And she proceeded to leave the plate there and say "I'll let your server know and she can deal with it!" WHAT? When our server finally came back (still no water) she said it was put in half and half and the gluten free half was coming. 1) we didn't ask for half and half and 2) no one specified and it could have led to a very uncomfortable situation had I eaten what I assumed was the gluten free option I'd ordered. No apologies. Finally lunch...very uninspired warmed flavorless cocktail shrimp topped my Mediterranean salad for an extra $8. Try a little seasoning or a grill for some sear. Anyway, for a near $100 lunch I would say pass!

While I LOVE the food here, the outside booth cushions are extremely moldy/dirty. It’s very off putting to say the least.

Very disappointing . My husband ordered Asian bowl and it was so ridiculously spicy , and he loves spicy food , that it took him a while to get his taste back just after taking a few bites. Should have been marked as super spicy . I had a black rice bowl with mushrooms and other veggies and it was super acidic , way too much vinegar .will not be back . Thankfully Nashville doesn’t have shortage of good restaurants

We made reservations for the patio. The server was not good. He didn’t check on us many times and it took over 30 minutes to get our food! The food was okay. Nothing special.

Food is acceptable (not great but just fine) but the prices are 25-30% higher than what they should be for the quality, quantity and experience.

Disappointed in the quality of food and the temperature at which it was served. Unfortunately we felt ill after eating a reheated meal.

When I lived in Santa Monica, I went to True Food Kitchen several times a week and never had a bad experience. Unfortunately, my first visit to TFK was a rough experience. The first thing we noticed when waking in the door tonight was that the entire left side of the restaurant where we sat smelled like dirty bar mats. Unfortunately, I know this smell well from working in and around bars in college. The waitress was informative and friendly; however, we rarely saw her when we needed something. For example, I had to go to the bar twice to refill our waters throughout our meal. We ordered three items: the Tuna Tostada, Lasagna Bolognese and the grass-fed burger. The lasagna was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious. The tuna was where it started to go downhill. Half the tuna was pale pink, and the other half was dark in color, a common sign that it was on its way out. The burger was ordered medium rare and arrived medium well. They were quick to offer a replacement, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, after waiting close to 20 more minutes, the replacement arrived even more overcooked than the first. Typically, I would assume the kitchen was overwhelmed, but the restaurant was far from busy. Since other reviews are positive, I'm hoping tonight was an anomaly, and we can give it another shot.

I was looking forward to eating here for a long time, and ended up being pretty disappointed. I ordered a grass-fed steak with veggies. The vegetables had no flavor. I’m pretty sure they weren’t even salted. I’m used to cooking with whole food ingredients at home all the time, and whole-food doesn’t mean you have to leave out the flavor! The food was straight up boring. My sister’s steak was way undercooked. And mine was overcooked. Also, the vegan cheesecake was way too tart. Unfortunately it’s not worth the money for me to eat there. I can cook much better meals at home.

The service here is not that good to be honest. I asked for a drink and never received it. Yet the bartender with the blonde hair who put in my order kept looking at me and making other peoples drinks. The food is OK. If you’re a BIPOC person steer clear from this place. They may not like you.

Our server Eliza was wonderful, so friendly and happy. The food on the other hand not good. Also, there was an overwhelming number of employees.

The food is very good, but this evening I was picking up a to go order that there system rejected without informing me. I arrived 5 minutes after my order should have been ready. 20 minutes later I left with my order. I was not offered anything for my trouble. Next time I'll order out from a place with a working app.

I was excited when true food opened here in Nashville because I use to go to the one in Newport Beach back home, I will so I was disappointed tonight with dinner. I closed on my first property and wanted to celebrate at True Foods. I ordered a pizza and it came out missing the main ingredient and the server kept questioning me like I might have been mistaken which was annoying and then since we were freezing because they blast the AC I got a cappuccino with dessert, hoping to enjoy my coffee with dessert It didn’t come out till after I finished my dessert and it wasn’t even a cappuccino it was coffee with some milk poured into it so the person didn’t even know how to make it. I probably won’t go there as much anymore which is a bummer because I truly like this place but for how much it came out to, it wasn’t worth it.
