Omg. Fifty bucks for 2 entrees and no drinks. The meal portions are so small. We left still starving and had to go home to make dinner Been several times. But always leave hungry. The service and staff are great though

Super strange to pick up to go. Front hostesses directed us to stand near the black pillar near the Kitchen, they handle to go. Kitchen then tells us it's not ready go wait over there and don't take up a table. The area he was motioning us to is a tiny corner with two chairs that already has 3 people waiting in it. Need a better system for to go.

I had my first and what was likely my last True Food Kitchen experience last Friday. I ordered the poke bowl and asked for no cashews as I'm allergic. The waitress acknowledged this verbally when requested. They still managed to put cashews in the bowl. I picked at the food and ate what I could. It should also be noted that the portion was laughable. The Pei Wei poke bowl is about twice the size, has so much more flavor, and is less than $10. All in all, my girlfriend and I managed a $55 bill for small portions, ignored food allergies, and bland food. It's likely I will never return or recommend this place to anyone (though I really like the health conscience concept.)

Great food, sub par service. Both times we ate here, the servers were not attentive and careless

Less than mediocre experience in all. Had a reservation but was told that I needed to wait 15-20 minutes because “the people before me were still finishing”. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that a reservation means absolutely nothing in your world. So we wait on the side for 15 or so minutes. There was another hiccup in the hostess’ iPad which said “guest cancelled reservation”. I didn’t. Whatever. They seated us. Our waiter, Alex, did a great job. He was energetic, friendly and helpful. Here’s the deal with the food: if you like pad Thai DO NOT get it here. My wife and I ordered the cashew pad thai bowl. She added salmon and I added steak. The salmon: uh-mazing. The steak? Delish. The actual pad Thai and sauce? Um, it’s REALLY sour and watery. Nothing like a cashew or peanut sauce whatsoever. Disappointed. And the wait for the food was too long. The saddest part was that all said and done we spent $53 (including tip) on those bowls. Now, don’t get me wrong, the meat was tasty. But come on man, that food is not worth over half a Benjamin. Look, I don’t mind spending good money on food. Just make the food worth the price. Geez. Also, don’t offer reservations if you can’t deliver on them.

This review is not about the food at True Food. I always love my meals here, especially because I have a severe corn allergy and can feel safe eating here. This review is about the hostess working the front tonight. I walked into an almost completely empty restaurant at 5:30 this evening (it is Sunday). No more than a quarter of the tables were occupied but I was told the entire restaurant was booked for reservations only. I was offered to sit at the bar or high top tables in the front. I sat at a high top to wait for my friend and opened OpenTable because I was interested in when their first available reservation was on a cold, wet Sunday evening... It was 5:45... 15 minutes after I walked through the door but was told I could not be seated in the dining room this evening. I went back up to the hostess stand to check in for my reservation (I booked the 5:45 spot on OpenTable). I asked if it was okay that I had done that and the staff seemed very annoyed with me. A few minutes later while I was patiently waiting for my new 5:45 reservation, the lead hostess came up to me and said "I had all of my tables planned tonight and did not factor in the open reservation, so you will have to wait while I figure out where to put you. That is why I told you the restaurant was booked" (not exact quote as I didn't record her). She was cold and short with me, it was like I had put her out in some way by making a reservation to come in and spend money in her place of work. This makes me very sad as I love to eat at TrueFood but don't enjoy being treated poorly when I am trying to enjoy a meal out with friends.

Went for lunch solo hoping to try it out and get some work done on my laptop. Well, they dont have wifi... I can't believe it! Even a hot dog stand has wifi! Food was ok but not likely to go back due to lack of wifi.

Don't go if you have allergies!!! My daughter has a severe allergy to avocado and when she told the server she joked "extra avocados then? I think she was trying to be funny but not funny to a person who is allergic. Her Burger was served with avocado spread and with the distraction of her toddler forgot to check the sandwich. Half way through lunch she noticed and we freaked out. They had Benadryl so she took a hand full. They were very apologetic and offered to take it off the bill, but they didn't. Gave us a gift card instead. Not going back so tossed it in the trash. Sitting outside the hospital in the car for an hour in case the Benadryl does not work well enough. I don't think it was intentional but if you work at a restaurant please be extra careful for allergies. My wife has Celiac too and it's super dangerous to dine out so be sure to have systems in place to prevent tragedies. Stickers on tickets, plates and Togo boxes so all staff can ensure no one dies from a meal. And yes it happens.

Waited at the bar for 51mins on a sunday afternoon. Restaurant half busy, and the bartender/server took 16mins to even ask us what we wanted to drink… have already waited 48mins for a small pizza, and a burger… Many many people eating our food that ordered AFTER us. Portions are small as heck, and overpriced. A side of 5 mini potatoes for $4…? Insane. And i mean it when i say it - there was literally ZERO flavour to the OG burger. No sauce no nothing, it was trash. And the pizza was OKAY at best.. 6/10 maaaaaybe Don’t come here unless you’d like to wait around for nothing… honest.

Got a to-go order from here of the bruschetta trio, which is 3 different bruschetta toasts, and they gave me 2 of the same one and did not give me the 3rd kind (the one I really wanted and made me order it in the first place). And to make it worse the one they gave me 2 of was the most disgusting one of the trio. It was also poorly packaged. Never ordering from here again.

We’ve been regulars since it first opened and have recently noticed a decline in the quality of the food preparation and service. Just this week we made what will be our last attempt at dining there, finding our seafood to be partially cooked, sides cold and the attention from out server spotty at best.

Gouda Turkey burger was flavorless and came on cheap bun—I could get nicer flavor bun at dollar general. Hummus was supposed to come with pita. Instead in came with disgusting dry crumbly tortilla. Tortilla and pita are not the same.

My Neice and I stopped in one night last week after buying a car, after my husband just past away from cancer. Needless to say it was a very emotional day. They served me a frozen chicken sandwich with cold sweet potatoes. I took a bite and prayed it wasn’t raw chicken. The server apologized, the manager apologized. But still made me pay the bill for my Neice’s meal which was the only option to eat at that point because I was scared to have them remake it. Integrity Would have had them comp the whole bill. Said note: it was late and I think the kitchen did it on purpose!!!! I believe they all knew it!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! No one can serve frozen food and not know it and if so, why eat anything they have no idea is going out.

Check your food if you order to go. I ordered a medium well burger and this is what I got when I came home. Had to literally throw my dinner away. Raw ground beef is very dangerous. Very poor customer support with handling the situation.
