They are awesome and very honest people. I took a water damaged Oriental Rug to them to hopefully restore. It turned out to also have moth damage I was unaware of. They would have cleaned the rug for me but felt it was not worth the expense and wanted to be upfront about it. They disposed of the damaged rug for me at no cost. I feel I made the right choice, though sad to lose this beloved rug. They have an incredible inventory of Oriental and other rugs on display and for sale. If you are looking for quality product, attentive service and expert knowledge of the industry, it is hard to beat Bruce Shabahang of Shabahang Rug Gallery. The new home we purchased in the Lake Country was a quite different style from our Mequon home, so we had several carpets to replace. Shortly after moving in, we stepped into the Shabahang Rug Gallery showroom and viewed some options for our foyer. Bruce helped us pick out some possibilities for our circular foyer rug, and within the hour he showed them to us right in our home. It was easy to purchase the perfect round piece for our new entry. Today, we decided it was time to replace the old rugs in the great room and kitchenette. Same great experience. Bruce remembered our home and was able to guide us to perfect prospects: in-home showing, choices made! Tomorrow, when they deliver the pads and position the rugs “to the inch,” as Bruce says, he will bring a few choices for our dining room. Over the years we have bought a number of lovely rugs from Shabahang Rug Gallery in Waukesha. While I am always happy to go to the store, I think my wife is happier. The service is wonderful, the selection can be overwhelming (as there are many beautiful choices), and the prices seem very competitive. I have never been unhappy with a purchase. I believe that I have had some old family rugs cleaned. And I may have even traded in a few rugs when we moved into our current home. Today I realized that Bruce is not a kid anymore so I guess that I have going there for more years than I realized. :)

We inherited a dirty old persian rug that had been ripped up by dogs, and took it to Shabahang for cleaning and repair, and to have fringes added. Thanks to their work, it has been transformed into a work of art. It is flawlessly clean, the sides have been stitched up beautifully and the fringes are gorgeous. Working with Bruce was a pleasure. He's clearly an expert, but very laid back and willing to take time to explain the details. Shabahang is a local business at its best. Also their showroom is an awesome place to explore.

I took two of my rugs in for cleaning. One of them I had taken to a different high end rug place several years ago that came recommended but afterwards there were still spots that remained including a dark grey area and some coffee like spots. I needed to have my favorite rug cleaned again because we fostered a dog that had urinated on the rug a few times before we realized he was doing this. There was also a wine stain from a while ago I did not think would come out. Shabahang got out all the spots including the ones the prior place had not. Their price was very competitive and was less than the place I used previously. It turned out better than I could have hoped. My prized rug looks like new and I am thrilled!

We had a large 10x14 wool rug that was quite soiled. I called Bruce at Shabahang Rug Gallery to inquire if they clean rugs to which he replied that they did and he'd be happy to help. They were able to come pick up our rug in short order! Well, our cleaned rug and new and improved pad have just been returned and we are thrilled!!! Our puppy had created some frayed edges which they mended beautifully! The 2 men who delivered it were very courteous and helpful, and strong They positioned our very heavy three-piece sectional in place! I needed to have two wool rugs cleaned and repaired so I stopped in at the Waukesha showroom for an estimate. What a wonderful and educational experience it was. Bruce Shabahang discussed with with me the options for repair, carefully setting expectations about the process and end results. On the spot, I decided that they were more than capable of professionally doing the work needed. Estimated time was about 30 days for the work.
I received a call within the quoted time period that the work was completed and I picked up the rugs today. I could not be more pleased with the end results. The rugs were restored beyond what I thought I thought would be possible. This, once again, proves that wool rugs are a wonderful investment if you have access to professional cleaning and repair. I highly recommend this firm.

I can't say enough how pleased we are with the rug cleaning we just had done at Shabahang Rug Gallery.
They treated our rugs, one of which has been in our family for some 50 years, as if it were their own.
The older one looks like the day if was purchased.
They underpromised and overdelivered, finishing the job ahead of schedule. They were courteous and I appreciated them following CDC guidelines when entering our home.
