Vera Clinic are dishonest and take advantage of patients in a vulnerable situation. Effectively they prey and take advantage of their customers.
1. When it came to paying they told me that to pay by card there's an 18% card fee, that the customer pays 8% and they cover the 10%. This was not mentioned at any other time when they advised me to pay by cash or card. I have asked Vera Clinic to provide evidence of this charge, they have failed to offer any evidence and keep telling me that all customers pay this.
2. They advise you that you need to spend €1200 on a lots of products which have no benefit and which are not required. They try to support this by suggesting a qualified person has examined your hair extracts etc and advises you to use these products (see images). They will try and force the money from you by telling you that the file needs to be closed and that you need to pay today. When I told them my bank cards were at the hotel, they said the taxi driver can take payement. Miraculously they will waive the card charges for this as "it's important for you to take the products" - luckily I didn't take them as I had an extra few days in Turkey and had time do my research. If I had of been flying out that same day like a lot of people, I would have really felt pressured into buying into their scam.
Over all, the procedure went well, although too early to tell. The surgery was clean, professional and well organised. The main translator was very nice but I believe she takes commission from the money she steels from the customers, so beware.
I did not feel comfortable through out the whole procedure and just felt like a product going through a factory. It felt like they didn't care about the customer but just get the job done quickly and efficiently.
I would advise everyone to avoid this company for the following reasons:
They're dishonest
They take advantage of people in a vulnerable situation.
Priority is to scam money from customers
Treated like a product in a factory
I also believe a lot of their reviews are fake but this is only a hunch and I have no evidence to support this.
I am in the process communicating with the Turkish ombudsman and have requested evidence from Vera Clinic of the card charges that they insist their bank charge or to return my money. They insist that the charge is genuine but will not in any way provide any evidence of this.
