Richards weekly tutoring sessions have helped me immensely! Last year I struggled with Eng Lang units 1&2 and was receiving medium low and low grades this year. The resources that Richard has provided me with and the weekly tutor sessions have helped me move my grades up to all highs for units 3&4. I find the flexibility of recorded lessons extremely helpful that I can go back and watch the tutor sessions whenever I need a refresher or can watch the videos in my own time if I cant make it to the session. This response templates and cheat sheets have been my holy grail and helped me understand the subject so much more clearly by understanding the structure of AC's, short answer questions and essays as well as the metalanguage. I am so glad I began this tutoring as I am sure I would be still getting lows this year without it! I would 100% recommend Richards services to any other VCE English Language students :)

Richard is a fantastic tutor for English Language! He is incredibly knowledgable in the content and how to apply it. I loved that all of his lessons were well structured and focused on many different aspects. I was able to gain a lot from observing how he unpacked an essay prompt or a text where I then used those skills and put it into practice. I also found his resources to be super useful where he provided step-by-step formulas on writing high-scoring responses whilst also focusing on how to plan well. In addition to this, his team of tutors are amazing! One on one sessions were very helpful for me as I was able to ask my specific questions and receive personalised feedback on my writing. Overall, an excellent tutoring service, I would highly recommend.

To keep it simple, attending Richard’s tutoring has been one of the best decisions I made during VCE. Having previously hopped from a few other english language tutors prior to going to him due to disorganisation and a lack of care in my improvement, I was blissfully surprised by Richard. From the onset until my final weeks of year 12, Richard has been diligent, approachable and invaluably helpful. He provides a vast array of resources which help with understating the large amount of metalanguage required of the subject, and provides many new, relevant language examples on a regular basis which really cut down on the time wasted trying to find everything on your own. Richard also keeps things simple and doesn’t overcomplicate anything more than it needs to be, making learning and your personal writing development easy and very achievable. The classes are given as groups, however Richard makes sure to attend to the needs of every student of his, both during the sessions and afterwards. Additionally, within the sessions, he gives you time to attempt whatever is being covered yourself before he provides an insight into how he would target it; I’ve found this approach to be really effective. Moreover, Richard also serves as a great mentor through your final years, being ready to happily answer any questions surrounding VCE that you may have. But above all else, what stood out to me the most about Richard, aside from the fact that he is just a genuinely nice person and helpful guy, is how he makes you feel that he actually cares about you both as a person, and how you are going within the subject. Not only does he acknowledge that you have sought his assistance to advance yourself, but he takes pride in the fact that both of your efforts pay off, which I find heartwarming, and not as common a trait as expected from all tutors. With that being said, I would highly recommend Richard if you have decided to undertake English Language as one of your subjects and wish to maximise your performance, as in my opinion he definitely deserves the monicker of the ‘#1 VCE English Language Tutor’.

The tutoring offered here is outstanding. What sets it apart is the wide range of exclusive resources available, which give a me what seems like an unfair advantage against my peers. Whenever I struggle with wording my responses for short answer questions or analyzing examples in an analytical commentary, I can turn to a cheatsheet that offers various strategies to assist me with problem. These resources have significantly improved my scores in English language, making it a worthwhile investment.

I could not recommend Richard more. Not only is he a skilled tutor, but he's also really humble, despite getting a perfect 50 in English Language. Not only are you getting weekly lessons, but also video tutorials, prior lesson recordings, and cheatsheets, including a metalanguage cheatsheet that explains all the stuff you need to know in depth, all found in one compact Notion Student Resources Hub. Having him as your tutor will be the best decision you make in VCE.

The tutoring sessions are very effective and organized. Every topic of the study design is explained thoroughly with different examples in the student resource hub that Richard created for his students. Not only that, Richard has response templates for different types of questions which gives an outline of how to write high level responses. Nearly in every session, after he finishes teaching the theory, he gives us time to apply what we learnt by solving past VCE exam questions. If anyone has any questions they are free to ask Richard and he finds the best possible way to re-explain the topic. Overall, Richard's tutoring sessions have been a great experience for me.

Richard and his team have been such an amazing help with U3/4 English Language this year. The content to application zooms provide great detail and clarification on what we’re learning in an interactive and structured way. Everyone is able to share questions and real-life examples on the discord (for everyone to see) whilst also having access to the ‘Student Hub’ which provides so many detailed resources on everything you need to know (including templates, metalanguage, etc.). Everything is so easy to follow and has been done to help us to receive a great mark at the end of the year. I would definitely recommend this tutoring for anyone not confident in English Language or wanting to extend themselves and abilities further!
