On April 1st 2024 we welcomed a 1 year old Papillon male into our family. Right away we knew we needed to implement training in several aspects including house breaking. I researched and ended up deciding on Sam Ivy. We had an extensive interview/conversation with Sam Ivy in which all aspects of the training were explained in depth. We were told about the philosophy, implementation, goals, etc of the training. We decided this was a good approach for us as we travel frequently with our dog and being tied down to a specific location is not an option for us. So, we went ahead and signed up. We have now completed our 9th session with Holli, ( BTW, she is an awesome trainer) and Radar is a much more centered dog. He is happy and willing to do the training, house breaking is at about 99% success (the other 1% is due to operator error!, aka: me). I can’t say enough about the program or about Holli. She is a dream to work with, always willing to listen and encourage and if something is not working, she will find a different way to try. I will gladly add to this review after our 12 weeks but the progress we have made is impressive. I would highly recommend Sam Ivy Trining to anyone who is looking for great program. We will more than likely continue into the next step of Service Dog Training. If nothing else, it is a huge confidence builder for both dog and handler. UPDATE. Radar, my husband and I, graduated from the Service Animal Program today. The difference in both Radar and myself is hard to comprehend. We are both much more confident and secure in our roles of handler and dog. Radar has come such a long way in a relatively short time. Holli's level of patience, kindness and above all knowledge is astounding. She has been there to support us every step of the way, sometimes dealing with challenges outside of her control. We had a very stressful family issue which interfered with our training schedule and Holli was so kind and understanding, working within our constraints until all was resolved. Since we started trining, Radar has over 50 flying hours, hours and hours in cars, at least 75 restaurant meals, airports, malls, hotels, etc. From the very beginning and using the tools Holli made available to us, he has behaved extremely well. He is a well balanced happy little dog who loves to "go to work". This was never going to happen without the Sam Ivy method of training and specially with Holli. I would highly recommend both Sam Ivy and Holli to anyone who would like to achieve a good outcome with maximum help and support. I will miss our twice weekly sessions with Holli, whom I have come to consider a friend. I have always enjoyed my sessions, ever when frustrated. I know that 99% of the issues were mine and Radar was just "reading" me and reacting accordingly. Thank you Holli from the very bottom of my heart.

I recently adopted a beautiful Keeshond dog who is 11 months old. To my surprise, this dog still had a lot of "puppy energy" in her and she was initially a bit of a "wild child". Having no formal dog training in her history, I decided that she and I would both benefit from some formal training. I went online and found the SamyIvy dog training consultants website. I read all of the 5-star reviews and was very pleased. I gave them a call and was even more impressed after that. I signed my dog up for 6 sessions. Gina was our professional trainer. All of the sessions took place at home using Zoom, a tripod, and my cellphone, which was so convenient. Gina was wonderful. I found her to be friendly and personable, very knowledgeable, patient, and enjoyable to work with. After just a few sessions, my dog is so much more obedient and enjoyable to be with. Gina explained everything we worked on in full detail. All of our sessions were recorded so that I could go back on the website later, watch the videos, and review topics from previous sessions. The E-collar my dog now wears works wonders on correcting problem behaviors like chewing, biting, jumping up on people and things, and pulling when on a leash. It's almost like I have a whole new dog! Thank you, Gina!!! I highly recommend giving SamIvy dog consultants a call if your dog could use some training. You'll be glad you did!

We have seen such huge improvement with our dogs since we started our training with Gina! When we started the training, I was not sure how easy the Zoom training sessions would be but after the first session with Gina I knew we were off to a great start! She was very patient with us as we worked through training with two puppies and she was always available for any questions we had between sessions. Before training started, we had a difficult time taking our dogs on a walk and having them follow basic commands. Now that we have the right tools from Gina and SamIvy we enjoy daily walks with our dogs and have seen huge improvement with their behavior overall!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sam Ivy Dog Training, and I highly recommend them. My 2-year-old Bull Terrier, Kion, is a sweet and sensitive boy who needed a training approach that would respect his unique temperament. From the outset, the team provided a warm and welcoming environment that set both Kion and me at ease. My trainer, Nate, was exceptional. He not only taught me how to execute commands effectively but also focused on enhancing my connection with Kion. His insights into canine behavior were invaluable, helping me understand my dog's needs and responses on a deeper level. This holistic approach made a significant difference in our training experience. Together, we graduated from service dog training in July, which was a proud moment for both Kion and me. We followed that success with off-leash training in August, further solidifying the strong bond we've developed. Nate’s patience and expertise were instrumental in our progress, and I am grateful for the skills I’ve gained. Overall, Sam Ivy Dog Training is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to build a better relationship with their dog. The combination of professional training and genuine care for both dogs and owners sets them apart. Thank you, Sam Ivy Dog Training, for transforming our journey together!
