This was hands down one of the best things we’ve done for our dogs! We have a 6 year old german shepherd and a year old lab. Our german shepherd is the sweetest dog, but has some anxiety with new people and is protective of our home. And our new lab was starting to follow some of her behaviors and we wanted to get a better grip on how to handle those types of situations! We also have little kids and it just felt crazy in our home at times, so we also wanted to have more control inside. My husband and I were amazed at the progress we saw within a week of doing the training! And blown away at the progress by the end of our sessions. We are now able to confidently take our dogs on walks, we know how to handle our german shepherd when she is feeling anxious and her anxiety has improved because we know how to help her be successful in a situation where she is feeling uncomfortable. We learned “spot” which was one of my favorite parts of training! Our dogs are more calm in our home. No more sneaking food from our kids or when food is dropped on the floor. Our lab especially LOVED the obedience side of training and that made it really fun. Shout out to our trainer Olivia who was super fun to work with and she is amazing! I would highly recommend going with samnivy- I also really liked doing it virtually! It meant that my husband and I were doing all the work with our dogs and responding directly to us. The more work we put in, the better the outcome! And it was a really great way to bond more with our dogs! Our dogs are such a bigger part of our family after doing this training! Loved it!

Sam Ivy has been a potential life saver for my partner, myself, and our 95lbs pitbull mix, Thor. After having moved recently, Thor started getting possessive of the couch, growling, and snapping at me. We were getting to the point of fear in which if this escalated further, and Thor bit me, we would have had to give him up since he could do a lot of damage as an aggressive dog. I had also been afraid to walk him on leash on my own given his size and strength nearly pulling me off my feet as he reacted to other dogs. Since starting with Sam Ivy, I can now confidently walk him without issues, he does not pull on leash, hardly ever reacts to other dogs, and knows his place in the house with no more aggression or fear on either side. All the issues I had faced have been resolved even with the setbacks of Thor needing surgery and moving apartments halfway through training. No more fear in this house!

Cannot say enough about how happy and grateful we were for this company and their amazing trainers! We were matched up with Maribel, who was so personable and fun to work with ever week. She has such a great ability articulate via video and she’s full of examples that really helped out! She definitely knows her stuff! One of her best qualities would have to be, when asked questions that could possibly be a personal preference… she first and foremost provides a “whatever you’d prefer” or “if that’s what you’d like” but then follows up with any risks that could come with that decision. Essentially, she allows us to decide on how we move forward—such a wonderful trait for a trainer to have in this business. I will say though, almost always, after hearing her explanations, we always ended up doing things the way she felt was best. She was really such a great match for us! I actually looked forward to meeting with her every week, she’s so happy and she’s got the most adorable smile We are so happy with Chapman’s success, we have been recommending Sam Ivy to all our doggie parents! Chapman is such a better dog because of this training! We’re definitely going to miss Maribel’s happy smile and wave goodbye every week!!

The moment we brought home our 2 pocket bully pups we knew that sadly due to their breed they would be misunderstood and receive nothing but negative stereotypes.So, as a family we wanted to ensure they received the best training possible to assist them with breaking those stigmas. After much research we found Sam Ivy. We decided to go with the advance off leash training package and we where assigned our trainer Holli. We couldn’t be more thrilled with our decision and our training . We love how personal and informative Holli makes training sessions. We feel empowered and thus it gives us the capability to execute properly. We’re only halfway through our package and you can absolutely tell our sweet girls have received puppy and obedience training. On walks or any outside visits we receive nothing but compliments on how well behaved and obedient they are. We have no issues with poor behavior at home and even with still being puppies they make great choices! All of this has been made possible thanks to Sam Ivy and Holli. If you are serious about proper training for your dog and household they are the folks to call. The skills you learn last a lifetime.
PS they also accommodate schedules for busy families ( like ours :) )
