I can’t say enough good things about this company and the trainer we worked with. We got a new puppy in November and wanted to train him right away so we didn’t run into behavior issues later. He’s a very well mannered dog but still we wanted to be proactive. Our vet recommended Sam Ivy along with a few others and we were very impressed with their program. Because of COVID they are offering online sessions which was perfect for us and very convenient.
We started with just the Proper Pack behavior course to see how it went and we were blown away. Maribel was our trainer and we absolutely loved her. The program is easy to follow and SUPER effective. Practice is important between sessions so if you do the homework you will see results quickly. Our dog did so well he graduated early!! We went straight into the next level of obedience training on leash and will continue with the off leash next.
Maribel is amazing. She’s so sweet, patient and kind. She gave great direction and was so excited every time he got something right! It was like it was her dog too We can’t wait to do the next stage of the program.

Here is our Sam Ivy K9 Consultants story… Our family decided to adopt a puppy over a year ago. We had done puppy training but did not go any further. BIG MISTAKE! Our family was at its wits end and was ready to ship Theo off to a trainer due his behavior. Then our neighbor told us about Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. We meet with Enzo and he told us what the company could do for us. He offered online and in person training. I was hesitant to do training online-I am a very hands-on person- but gave it a try. We meet with Thuylinh and it was like she was with us in person. She gave us homework to complete before the next training and held us to the expectation. She was very through and knowledgeable. She was very encouraging when she knew we were overwhelmed. Over the next few weeks, Theo started to thrive and become a calmer and more disciplined dog. Thuylinh was only a text or call away. She answered quickly and helped to guide us! Now, Theo has graduated from Intermediate On Leash Obedience Training. We are still continuing to practice the techniques using the tools we learned with Thuylinh. I cannot recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants or Thuylinh enough! Thank you!!!

Sam Ivy training method is amazing. Miguel, our trainer, was very polite and help us get our dog straight. Our Poodle learned all commands quickly and showed great improvement from week to week. No more biting or barking. Do not hesitate to try them. It is the best investment you can make for you and your dog.
