I had been doing training for over eight months with different training companies and I still couldn’t get my dog to walk nicely on a leash. Other services were pay as you go so the longer he wouldn’t walk nicely, the more we were paying. He was pulling, lunging and reacting to every critter he would see, dogs walking in the street, bicycles, cars and trucks —our walks were miserable, I was miserable. I was referred to Sam Ivy by someone in our rescue group and it has been life changing. Our trainer was Blas, and on the first session, my dog was walking in a polite heal. As each session went by, he was no longer reactive on our walks. We now can walk past barking dogs and he maintains his controlled demeaner which gives me greater confidence to walk past a bad situation and not worry about how I am going to control my dog. People actually compliment me on my dog’s behavior, AMAZING!!! We have worked on other naughty dog behaviors and the difference is astounding, I now have a dog with manners who understands I am alpha—WOW! If you call, ask for Blas, his love for dogs really shows in his enthusiastic approach to training. He is highly motivated to work with your family to ensure your every concern is handled. He accommodated our schedule and every session he would remind us to call him with any questions we may have; we wish we had done this eight months ago! THANK YOU to the Sam Ivy team!

Sam Ivy’s services, masterfully supplied to us by Ms Alexis, were phenomenal. We signed up for our 7 y/o Boxer after his behavior became progressively unruly. Within two weeks his temperament had done a 180, and by the end of the program he had become the teacher’s pet! He still has all of his rambunctious sweetness, but he is no longer acting up; and walking him has become an almost effortless experience! I cannot say enough positive things about Alexis and the Sam Ivy program!

I absolutely love my trainer Deanna! Me and my dog Sophia (english bulldog-7 months old) have had 6 sessions and there is a complete difference in her behavior. When we first started Sophia was the dominant one between the two of us and walks were just unbearable. That changed quicky! Within 2 sessions with Deanna we were able to go for walks around the neighborhood with me being in control and Sophia following my lead! Some of the other issues I had with Sophia were biting, chewing shoes, jumping, peeing/pooping in her crate, constantly whining in the crate. Those issues are almost nonexistent at this point and she is a well behaved dog. I see a world of difference and am super excited to start obedience training with her and Deanna! I had doubts at first about hiring a dog trainer as I thought they were just going to be telling me how to train my dog with little guidance. That is the complete opposite with Sam Ivy. Deanna is here to provide me with the tools and work with me to improve Sophia's behaviors that I consider unacceptable. I am able to reach out to her at any time in between our sessions with any questions or concerns I may have and she is able to advise me on the best way to handle the situation! This was the best decision I made and I am now a very happy dog owner! Thank you Sam Ivy and Deanna!

I normally don't give a lot of details on my reviews but I think it is important for other dog owners know how great Erica (dog trainer) at Sam Ivy K9 is. I have a Great Dane/ Bull Mastiff mix giant puppy. His name is Petey and he is 16 months old. To say the least Petey is big and became a problem for me to handle. I have 4 other dogs and 9 cats. I am experienced at handling animals but Petey was too strong for me. I started looking for a trainer after Petey tried to kill one of my other dogs three times. I knew I had to get this giant under control or i would have a diaster on my hands. I look at sending Petey off for a month for training. Then I had a friend at work who recommended Sam Ivy training. He told me they train his puppy Bull Mastiff to become a service dog. I had a consult and was sold. Erica showed up for our first session (who is a small framed young lady). I thought if I can't handle Petey how in the world is she going to handle him. Erica showed me how to become the Alfa dog and that Petey had to respect me. After 2 weeks of training Petey was a completely different dog. He has been in training now for about a month 1/2 (3 times a week, at my home).in He is now in advance training. Petey and my other dog can now coexist in the same house without fighting. He is very well behaved. People can't believe Petey is the same dog. To say the least I would highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 training. It is money well spent.
