I’d like to thank Sam Ivy and a special thank you to our trainer Jackie.
We participated in Advanced Off Leash program which also included other programs which predate it. This is one of the greatest assets to this company. Each program builds on the next and after you complete one, the cost to the next level isn’t financially stressful. In our case, Advanced Off Leash is about the 1/2 way point to the highest level and also teaches all of the lower levels under it. Service Dog training is the highest level available.
I had my doubts, I had my reservations about the techniques and cost, and I was turned around 100%. I love my pets like so many owners, and I had preconceived notions of personal dog training. Always thought it was a “nice to have” but not a “must have” and I figured I could do it myself. What I found out is that you can do it yourself, but the professionals are so much better at it and teach you along the way.
After spending the past 6 weeks with Jackie, I only wish I did this years ago. I’m not going to give a step by step on what you will learn, because outside of obedience training, your needs may be different form ours. I will say that our Dobermans have gone from good dogs to great dogs and we are now leaders of our pack. We control the behaviors we want and those we don’t and they listen.
Now for Jackie. She is amazing. Can read a dog and it’s cues along with the owners. She has a set of rules which start with respect the process and end with a great dog. I can’t thank her enough. Wonderful advice, readily available, super nice, and a great problem solver. She took steps in solving our issues with reason and thoughtfulness which she explained the purpose of the learning curve for both pets and owners. Lastly, we are going to the next phase of Intermediate Off Leash, so that should speak to the confidence I have in the program and the results we have achieved.
We honestly believe we found a friend in Jackie, so that easily was worth the price of the training. Thanks again Jackie.

So my dog Pixel had aggression issues and resourse gaurding thanks to my trainer BLas and Sam Ivy K9 consultants my life and that of my dogs changed for the better! I highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 consultants they are real deal and most definitely BLas exceddee my expectations.

I do not have enough great things to say about Sam Ivy K9 training. We recently completed the Advanced-Off Leash program and I cannot believe the difference in our 10 month old pup in the span of two/three months of training. Our boy is truly loving his off-leash life. From lounging in the back yard (with no fence), to morning runs, or even strolls in the park with more distractions that I can list. Joel was our trainer and I would recommend him to anyone from simple dog obedience to service dog training. He knows how to incorporate the training plan/curriculum Sam Ivy has in place and custom tailor it to your dogs wants/needs. IE you don't want to crate your puppy? You and Joel can come up with an alternative such as gating off your kitchen in lieu of the crate! Yes, I know Sam Ivy is an investment but how can you put a price on the happiness of your family and your pet. No leash, no long rope in the back yard so your dog doesn't run off , no chasing your dog around the neighborhood begging them to come home for a treat. You will be able to finally speak the dogs language as well your dog will start to understand ours. Also, the knowledge you gain in training your first pet with Sam Ivy will work in the future with any dogs you will have later down the road so save your notes. What are you waiting for? You're a couple months away from having the happy, well-behaved pet that you have always wanted.

I cannot express how thankful we are for the company of Sam Ivy and our wonderful trainer Alexis! We had considered starting training before but it wasn’t until our dog jumped out of our car window and our 6 ft fence that we knew we needed it. It was totally worth it. We loved working with Alexis, she was always helpful, informational and flexible. We will could not recommend Alexis & Sam Ivy more and we look forward to working with them in the future.
