Highly recommend Sam Ivy Fort Lauderdale. Claudia and her staff is extremely professional and very good with dogs. Our dog enjoyed the training and was a quick learner. The method is simple, easy to learn, and most importantly works!!!! Would definitely rehire this company with other pets.

Love Sam Ivy!!! Jackie was an amazing trainer and helped us with our boxer whippet mix. She was attacked a few times in her life which made her have leash and fence aggression. I was SO embarrassed and nervous to take her out for a walk which wasn't fair to her. We have a little one on the way so I knew I had to act before I could let the situation get worse. I feel that because people don't recognize some of these signs their pets give them, they throw their arms in the air and say we have to get rid of this dog which is not what I wanted. She is my baby too! I was so hesitant in using the prong collar and e collar. I've felt both myself and they look and seem so much worse than they are. The prong collar has rounded ends and they don't hurt. The e collar, I tried for myself while being pregnant mind you, doesn't hurt. It just wasn't pleasant and made me want to scratch my arm, that's it! I've become more comfortable with the tools we've been given and feel so much more confident when taking her out on walks. She's a completely different dog now that she knows we will protect her and she doesn't have to be on the defense all the time. Sam Ivy taught us how to communicate with our pup in her language and we are forever thankful for that! And for the record, I would like to tell everyone that our trainer never once told us to hit our pup! Thank you Jackie and Sam Ivy for helping us!

The training program from Sam Ivy K9 truly changed our lives. Nobody understands what it's like to have an aggressive dog until they actually have one. We used to be those people that were embarrassed to take our dog out in public because of his behavior. We envied people who could just walk their dogs by other dogs without them turning aggressive like our dog Otis did. We tried a dog "behaviorist" earlier this year and it just didn't work. When we heard about the training program at Sam Ivy from other owners who had success with their dog's aggressive behavior, we knew we had to give it a try. Ryann, our trainer, was extremely patient and understanding, having had an aggressive dog herself. She was professional, knowledgable and helped us reconnect with our dog in ways I thought weren't going to be possible. Putting him through this program was the best decision we could have ever made. Five weeks later and he's a new dog. Not only have we overcome his behavior issues but we also have a trained, happy and obedient dog. Otis used to see red and bark aggressively at other dogs, bikes, trucks, etc. Now he's confident and we enjoy our walks and time together. Thank you, Ryann! We couldn't have done it without you! :)

We had Alexis as our trainer and she is so energetic and great! Spartacus was only 10 weeks old when we started training but she was still able to hold his attention span. Our first meeting we basically needed everything done with this puppy. He couldn't walk on a leash, wouldn't listen to commands, and was uncontrollable. He transformed into a puppy that walked well, listened to commands, and we are more able to direct his energy towards other things if he starts to get distracted and unruly. We get comments all the time from all our neighbors saying how well he walks on his leash and how well he behaves. Mouthing is still a bit of an issue, but being a puppy we just have to keep on correcting it and give him alternatives. What most people don't know is and with all dogs that we all still have to work with him everyday and practice what we learned, but that's the fun of it because it gives us time together and makes him work for his treats. Because of his breed (half Doberman/half german shepherd) and his 100 pound anticipated size, we want him to be properly trained and I don't think I would have picked anyone else but Sam Ivy Canine Consultants to do so. They also have a "lifetime" guarantee which I like since in case he develops any new unwanted behaviors as he grows, they are available to help correct it. Alexis is also quick to respond to text messages if I ask her anything at most times of the day. I highly recommend Sam Ivy!
