“My coach was an excellent communicator and facilitates the exchange of ideas very well. My sessions felt like they were brainstorming events. I have a much better understanding of what I am looking for in my career life and how career /balance should be.Having a career profession acting as your advocate is a very powerful catalyst when looking for a new direction in a persons work life. The system works. It's effective and provides results.”

Just wanted to share my CareerJoy success story with you.  My coach Greg was absolutely instrumental in helping me to land the brand-new job. First of all, he found the job ad for me in a listing service I did not know about and coached me on the initial application stage.  When I was selected for an interview, Greg provided insightful advice and a helpful "mock interview" practice session which really helped me to solidify my preparation. I truly do credit Greg with helping me to transition to a new role in a new city after a cross-country move earlier in the year.  Without him, I would never even have known where to look for the job.  I'm very grateful to CareerJoy for this truly concrete success story...

Following a depression-related leave of absence from work, Career Joy's Career Identity Program for Professionals was just the prescription I needed to reorient myself, and help me identify and pursue my calling. Using the latest in assessment tools and methodologies – combined with personal, one-on-one coaching – my coach worked with me to develop my action plan to turn personal adversity into public advocacy for men’s mental health issues. Thank you for planting the seeds of possibility that have helped me flourish.

The one on one process was instrumental in talking out a path to finding the career that was right for me. The exercises and discussions could help anyone looking for a new career or someone who is looking to advance in their current one. The value is immeasurable. I feel that I am now equipped to go out and find or even create the job that best fits my career goals and this would not have been possible without CareerJoy's program. Kevin was fantastic. He was willing to hear me out regarding my career goals as well as create a tailored experience that fit those goals perfectly. I learned a more strategic and systematic method to crafting my resume, approaching a possible employer, preparing for interviews, and finding a job.

I came to CareerJoy with the hope of discovering more about myself professionally and the career options open to me based on my professional experience and education. Through my sessions with my coach, I learned more about my skills, abilities, talents and what kind of work I would and would not like to do. However, my experience with my career coach did not fully meet my expectations. Communication in between sessions was lacking on the part of my coach. Said coach either took a very long time to respond to my inquiries or did not respond to them at all. While the coach's justifications were acceptable, they were not communicated to me beforehand. Perhaps my overall experience would have been better had I been assigned a different coach. And seeing as their services required a great financial investment, I expected a lot better! I didn't even receive communication from the administrators regarding progress with my career coach. Overall, I do recommend CareerJoy, however, I recommend that one have a basic awareness of their career goals. I also recommend doing further research into the coach you are assigned to before agreeing to work with them.

I was very pleased with the career counselling services from their coach Kevin Schafer. In my view, he is a very qualified, dedicated and experienced professional who cares a great deal. Unfortunately, on the other hand, I did not have a positive experience with their accounting/administrative practices and neither with their customer service.

The services at Career Joy are overpriced and their customer service is terrible. The Career Identity Program was $1200 and I wish I never bothered with it. At the beginning of the process I made my expectations very clear and they assured me they were realistic and could help me. My expectations were definitely not met and when I reached out to them to let them know I was unhappy they didn't bother to ask why and instead tried to sell me a different expensive program. Also, I had them write my résumé and I specified I wanted someone with government experience to write it. Instead, someone from the private sector wrote it, they never told me, and I found out several months later. When I asked to have my résumé re-written by someone with government experience (like I had originally asked), they agreed to give me the "discounted" rate of $400. It makes no sense that I should have to pay for their mistake. I am a very dissatisfied customer and will not recommend this company to anyone.

A complete waste of time and money. Their writers have no familiarity with the industries or sectors their clients work in. Customer service is lacking. Once you have paid the fee, they couldn't care less about the resume they provide.
