Fantastic meal and experience at this new spot in Gaithersburg (Rio). I didn’t have a cocktail but if my sparkling tea was any indication, they know how to mix a drink! Love that the food tasted as good as it looked (I’m not usually a kale fan but theirs was amazing) and their philosophy about sourcing their ingredients. Can’t wait to go back. This spot will become a staple on our very short “let’s go out for a meal worth paying for” list.

It's good with a nice ambience and resembles a nearby neighborhood restaurant Flower Child that has since closed. It's quite big and has a combination of seating types including the bar. They can seat large groups. Loved the Penang Curry bowl which was quite filling and I needn't have added the protein. The Edamame dumplings were ok and we were disappointed that this appetizer arrived after our meal. The lasagne and the chicken burgers tasted great. The squash soup and the roasted veggies were excellent. They didn't have all the beers on the menu but had a good assortment of cocktails. For lunch time, didn't feel we had the right attention to our table service wise.

I recently visited True Good Kitchen restaurant for a lunch with my family and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was inviting and the staff members were friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. The food at True Good Kitchen was generally good, with a decent variety of options to choose from. However, I must admit that I found the menu selection to be slightly lacking. The kids menu also lacked choices. There were only a few options available for children and they were quite limited in variety. It would be great if True Good Kitchen could expand their kids menu with more options that appeal to children's preferences. While the dishes I ordered were well-prepared and tasty, I felt like my OG hamburger was lacking flavor. Despite this minor setback, the quality of the food itself was commendable. The flavors were fresh, and the ingredients seemed to be of high quality. The presentation of each dish was also appealing somewhat. In terms of service, the staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to offer helpful suggestions. They were attentive to our needs and ensured that we had an enjoyable dining experience. Overall, I would recommend True Good Kitchen for its pleasant ambiance, friendly service, and good healthy quality food. While the menu selection could be improved with more variety It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area."

First time here. Food is expensive for the amount of food you get. Everything is fresh but a bit too much for the food. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was just ok. Bun was multigrain and taste was bland. Rest if the family got salad and pizza for the little one. They enjoyed it. Maybe i just ordered the wrong item. Will have to try again. Dessert was pretty good. Strawberry cake w ice cream very tasty. It was flour free which tasted pretty good. Caramel nut ice cream was damn good. It wasnt the name of the dessert but its the closest i can describe it. My son got rootbeer float which was different but surprisingly tasty.

The Sunday menu was good. My food was good my smoothie had biggest pieces of ice in it. I think it needed more time to blend. Pancakes were good and my wife's food was really good. Great service would try again.

I got the pizza and my s/o got the Turkey burger. The Turkey burger did taste somewhat bland but the pizza was extremely good. Our server Kennedy was quick and attentive. Keep in mind the cheaper meals are 16 bucks a plate. The only gripe is there are no booths so you are very much involved in your neighbors conversation. I will probably come back!

Food is good, albeit a bit pricey. Great cocktails. Beer selection leaves a lot to be desired, and there are no drafts, only cans/bottles.

Good food, and healthy, but seriously lacking on portion size. I had an omelette and would say it was among the tastiest i ever had. We also got the poke bowl, which tasted great. But seriously, portions are all about 1/2 sized... and I'm a skinny person saying this. This is the main drawback of the restaurant, so prepare to either spend a lot or go home hungry. Don't bother with the smoothies... Mostly ice and nothing special.

I first discovered True Food Kitchen in Austin, TX and then visited their location on a trip to San Diego, CA. I was delighted when True Food began opening in MD. The food is great for groups/individuals with dietary restrictions - they accommodate a variety of needs. I’ve tried many items and some memorables are the charred cauliflower dish, pizzas and their bowls. The service at Gaithersburg has improved dramatically since opening and the real prize is the patio seating with a group on a nice day!

Like the food, it was spicy ( even though I ask not to be) but the waiter was nice and change my food with replacement sauce. I get verging mojito and it cost me $15 ( the pink laminate was $5, which was even better option) I wasn’t happy with charging me alcohol drink price for that

Server was very friendly. Outstanding attitude. Great indoor out door atmosphere for lunch. Food was good but a little pricey for a lunch. All in all I’d recommend for lunch.

A more chill dine in place. Bathrooms: 2 wheel chair accessible restrooms space to put personal belongings not too close to sink, pretty clean ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beverages: hot chocolate has a bitter flavor but I enjoyed it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Apple lemonade I don't really taste the apple but still good ⭐⭐⭐ Starters: brussel sprouts were a bit spicy but they were soft ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Charred Cauliflower very nice flavor sauce ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hummus with no cheese, the pita was subpar ⭐⭐⭐ Bowl: teriyaki quinoa is Burger: vegan double cheeseburger I would have liked another slice of cheese ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pesto pasta replace cheese with almond ricotta it is good ⭐⭐⭐ Dessert: Cookie & ice cream the coconut ice cream is good ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the cookie is kinda grainy and coconuty but generous chocolate ⭐⭐⭐ Payment methods: odd they want you to do it online but you can ask for a paper check.

Went with a large group and everyone said their selection was great. Several have returned with others. Our waiter was very efficient.
