-Checked in on a Friday night, the office was crowded and it took a really long time. Also, since our group arrived before I did, they couldn't check in because the original credit card [that booked the house] was not there. I had even send pictures of the card, but this was no help.
-House: We really liked the house [I give the house itself 4 stars], but it was missing some basic necessities, which I put mostly on the rental agency. We were instructed by Big Bear Vacations that we had to take our trash with us, which is no problem...EXCEPT, there was only 1 small trash bag in the entire house, this is for a house that sleeps 7 for 3 nights. Also, we were told by BBV that we had to do the dishes upon leaving...EXCEPT there was exactly ZERO amount of dishwashing detergent. There were other little things as well, like no paper towels (or even dish towels), no closet space in the master bedroom, no blankets, coffee maker was old and leaked all over the counter, no way to use the fireplace, etc.
-To BBV's credit, when we called, they delivered trash bags and detergent, but why should we have had to? This is a professional property management company. Their houses should have a basic level of items to make the stay of their customers comfortable.
-I'd stay at the house again, but would think twice about using Big Bear Vacations as the rental company.
