Beautiful town, food is good. We stayed in the Lupine cabin with Big Bear Vacations Big Bear Blvd, two bed one bath built in wall heater.it was either always to hot or to cold and oh my word sitting on a toilet in middle of night was one way to get hypothermia lolololol, I have to say both my husband and I really disliked the beds, disliked so much we left an entire day early. We didn’t ask for any refund for one day, cuz we prob wouldn’t get one. We both thought beds were so hard, we tossed n turned two nights. When I first got to cabin I went to open window and it wasn’t locked so I checked all other windows and all but one window were unlocked, that was shocking and scary. I made sure to lock them when I left. The fridge never worked properly as the paperwork said it would. Only one tv in living room was a bummer and no side tables was also too a bummer. We did have a nice view of part of the lake and I made friends with the ducks. Might try during summer season more to do however not same cabins the beds were really seriously bad. I usually never fill these out but oh man I wanted to warn people so they know what to expect, we got lucky we had a wall heater other cabins have no heat they gotta use firewood and tend to it so there warm, also no a/c in any units but idk how hot it gets during summertime. So I would go again just make sure u read fine print before booking that u have everything u want in a house, hotel, cabin or campground. Safe and happy travels!!!!!!!

Everything was nice only problem my wife and I had was that animal hair infested couch that looked like somebody picked it up in an alley somewhere. I'm sorry but the carpet stunk, no pool access and cob webs everywhere. The photos on your website are extremely misleading your cabins look nice there but the real thing is very disappointing.

1729 - Mountain Fun Although the cabin/house was nice there was a lot of things that were brought to my attention about it being poorly maintained and updated. The Foosball table had broken parts. The dining table was very squeaky and moved way too much. One of the cabinet drawers in the hallway bathroom was broken. The back door was broken in 3 different places. It was very hard to go out and come back in with out having the hassle of the door. The blinds in the billiards play room were broken as well. Most blinds only coverd half way and the other remaining half wouldn't go up or down. The downstairs guestroom had broken closet sliding doors. Also the door in the same room that led towards the front /garage wouldn't close properly without having to push with force. Very unsafe if it didn't close properly.

Check in was awful- I waited over an hour and 40 minutes in line for a keycode and then was given the wrong code. The house needs some work and to be better equipped (for instance no light in the master bedroom) but the basic layout and location were ideal. We had a great stay despite these issues.

The staff is friendly and helpful. However, I had to take a few stars off due to the following/ When you get there, you have to get in the long line twice. This is for any who arrives there by 4pm, if you are late, then the lines become even longer. It took us 1 hr to get through the line the first time to fill out the LONG LONG forms, then we had to wait in the line again just to receive our keys once the room was cleaned. does that even make any sense??? I thought I’d share this in case you are thinking about staying in one of their cabins.

We had a decent experience with the cabin. Our stay included a few crawling babies so cleanliness was very important to us. The carpet and kitchen floor were not cleaned to our standards so we weren't exactly comfortable allowing our babies to freely crawl throughout the house. The carpet was stained with old food, kitchen needs a deep clean, and the kitchen floor was extremely sticky. We would not recommend the cabin to any families with small children.

The “cabin” wasn’t very nice- a refurbished old motel room made to look like a chalet! Not real clean and much too expensive

The house we stayed in was nice, but could use some upkeep. There were hundreds of video tapes, but no way to watch them. There were about 6 tv remotes, but no directions on how to use them. The kitchen was stocked with dull and rusty knives and the can opener didn't work. I cut myself. A few small fixes and this home would be great.

-Checked in on a Friday night, the office was crowded and it took a really long time. Also, since our group arrived before I did, they couldn't check in because the original credit card [that booked the house] was not there. I had even send pictures of the card, but this was no help. -House: We really liked the house [I give the house itself 4 stars], but it was missing some basic necessities, which I put mostly on the rental agency. We were instructed by Big Bear Vacations that we had to take our trash with us, which is no problem...EXCEPT, there was only 1 small trash bag in the entire house, this is for a house that sleeps 7 for 3 nights. Also, we were told by BBV that we had to do the dishes upon leaving...EXCEPT there was exactly ZERO amount of dishwashing detergent. There were other little things as well, like no paper towels (or even dish towels), no closet space in the master bedroom, no blankets, coffee maker was old and leaked all over the counter, no way to use the fireplace, etc. -To BBV's credit, when we called, they delivered trash bags and detergent, but why should we have had to? This is a professional property management company. Their houses should have a basic level of items to make the stay of their customers comfortable. -I'd stay at the house again, but would think twice about using Big Bear Vacations as the rental company.

I thought the cabin was a cozy little place more for a couple, not a family. Tight quarters. The floors were not clean. I tried to clean them with wet papertowels, and there was only one trash bag, had to buy extra. There were no test strip for the dish sanitizer. The refrigerator did not keep our food cold. We turned it up all the way and still it did not keep our food cold. Had to put milk in the freezer. The bed was ok, but the futon was not. My son said it was like he was sleeping right on the slats. I was told I should have filled out a contract to stay at the cabin. I never received it. I have only the front desk person's word for that. It took a little while to read and fill out contract. I did not recieve a copy or scanned email of the document I signed. I was not told until the night I was supposed to check in (9/1/17) that I was supposed to go to a different address to check in. Not very good communication. On a good note the staff was friendly. The check in area was nice, well represented and easy access.

I booked our stay in January 2012. when we got to our cabin in June 2012 there was another family in it. we had booked this one in particular because we were bringing watercraft and this one had a dock where we could watch our kids on the beach, put the watercraft in and everyone could be together for fun. After arrival to our cabin, Big Bear Vacations told us to wait and they would move the people who were in our cabin to another location because the cabin was definitely ours. We waited 2 1/2 hours for someone from maintenance to show up. then they moved us to a cabin many blocks from the beach and said it was an upgrade. they said they didn't have anything else with a dock. the cabin was larger, yes, but when i got there i said this can't be true... this looks like a shack. it was most definitely not an upgrade. We could not put our watercraft in the water, we couldn't be on the beach, there was no public beach and in the end it cost us an additional $400 to then get our family onto the water. the cabin was horrible and very ghetto. nothing like what we had booked. I filled out a complaint with Big Bear Vacations and they said i would be receiving a refund. I have emailed them and they have not responded. i have left messages and they have not responded. just now i called them again and was put on hold and then someone picked up and hung up. this is completely ridiculous and was a night mare for my family. we DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR in any shape or form. On check out Big Bear Vacations said they made a mistake and checked in someone into our cabin that was suppose to have been there the weekend before. The reason we were told we were moved earlier was because they thought the people in our cabin were squatters and they had no record of checking anyone into that cabin. this is the story of our experience with the facts.

We paid full price for a cabin... we had to clean it ourselves upon arrival.... management promised to let us know if they could compensate... 4 months ago, broken promises, repeated unanswered calls... They refuse to keep their word. Avoid at all costs.

#1792 fisherman's paradise is falling apart. The balcony is very dangerous. Wood supports for hand rails as well as the balcony is splitting and splintered. The jacuzzi was nice, but again, broken jets a knobs. The lower deck where the jacuzzi is, is splintered as is the wooden steps to get in it. My 2 kids got splinters in their feet. Was not given much info on the cabin and what it had other than the basic info. Could not use the pool table. All the sticks were broken.... missing the tips, bent sticks, or broken in half. The kitchen was nice. All the basic necessities were there. Towels and dishes. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Used the dock for my raft boat. The slip is falling apart as well, with nails sticking out all over. Found a lot of new nails laying around. Some half way in the boards. Again my kids got splinters in their feet. Will add more photos. Was told that the beach part near the slip had nice sand so my kids could play. All weeds and bushes. The lake is beautiful but for what we paid for the dangerous place I think is too much. And worry for my kids? Not worth it.

Just walked in and of the two staff members neither greeted me or asked I had questions. Really poor signage around the building. The general store was basically just a gift shop. Does not have all essentials. They didn't even sell sunscreen or maps

We stayed here over a Spring a break weekend with the family. We chose to rent from this site because of the positive reviews and bedrooms. We typically rent from Airbnb but couldn’t find a big enough property for our group size. We stayed at Mishka’s Place their “Platinum” property. It was higher priced than budgeted but we felt it would be worth it since it sounded so great on their website. Our customer service rep when booking was very professional and friendly. Once we arrived however our expectations quickly turned negative. First we walked the property to make sure anything not working we called and reported. We should’ve taken our time. The chairs are peeling off, not reclining and dirty. The restrooms were not cleaned upstairs and the toilets were stained and the walls are dripping in dried water marks. The restroom downstairs had toilet paper in the roller that was dumped in yellow water dried and put back in the roll. All the blinds are broken whenever we would try to open a window a blind fell off. The bedrooms have a blanket per bed which could be a thin comforter. So you better bring your own blankets. The description states TV’s in the bedrooms but be aware the bedrooms upstairs are just TV’s no cable hook ups nothing so it really serves zero purpose. The game room is in the garage which gets pretty cold in the winter. We hardly played because we got so cold. The backyard was full of wood pieces and some machinery making it dangerous for the kids to play. The plus when we called because of the cable they were quick to respond. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of pots and pans, waffle iron, toaster and slow cooker. Since we only have one place to watch TV and you can’t adjust the thermostat we all hung around the living room. Luckily they provided space heaters too bad when we turned them on it would trip the electrical and shut our only working TV and anything else in that room. Again bring lots of blankets. Given the price and lack of care for this property by BBV I would not recommend booking from this site. This was their platinum cabin and all it did was make me worry what their “Gold” properties look like. I can tell the owners care about the property but it’s unfortunate it’s not being managed properly.

We were promised a refund because we were not the right age which was not stated clearly and we never signed the final contract. Called for a whole month trying to figure out where our refund was and they lied and said air bnb had the money when in the end they had it the whole time and they still never gave us the full refund after they promised it when we were in their office. They are lying, deceitful, snakes
