We have a Mainecoon cat that was on birthcontrol. Its not an absolute science how long it lasts, and during the lockdown it had stopped working and she got pregnant. As longterm and responsible cat owners, at the first opportunity after the first lockdown we had the Queen spayed when it was possible after she gave birth. But one of the kittens was a girl, and after a few months of checking with various vets, we were told that it was time for the female kitten to be spayed as well. Although my daughter is 18, she is very shy and has problems dealing with tricky people. As this was a vets, I wasnt expecting any hassles, so I asked her to call and make an appointment. It was I could see a bit daunting for her but I assured her that it was straightforward and would be okay. My daughter called and spoke to a nurse there called Katy. She explained the situation, and that it was quite urgent that the kitten was spayed asap as the female had male brothers with her, and of course we didnt want her to get pregnant. Katy in her wisdom proceeded to DEMOLISH my daughter, telling her repeatedly how irresponsible she was, that she should have known better, etc etc. After ending the call my daughter was in tears. She explained to me what Katy had said to her and forget that my daughter is shy, it even made me angry. I called and Katy answered the phone. I asked to speak to the Vet. They are not available. I asked how on earth she thought it was acceptable to talk to someone as she had done to my daughter? Her reply, "Well you were irresponsible" and she put the phone down. I then called again, and yes I was angry. I asked again to speak to the vet as I wanted to explain what had happened. "They are not available and I don't know when they will be". So I explained that I would come to the practice and wait until they were able to speak, as this was important. I get the practice. A different young lady, a nurse, met me. I explained what had happened, she apologised, but said that the Vet was busy and could not come to the door to talk. She went on to explain that she had been in contact with the Area Manager already, and that they were going to be calling me to discuss what had happened. That was approximately a month ago and not one has either the practice or the Area Manager called me. For what its worth, my eldest son, when he heard what had happened, and how his sister had been talked to, even called Goddards Head Office to make a complaint. We have been responsible cat owners for the past 30 years, and have been to a number of vets during that time, depending on where we were living at the time. Never, ever have we ever had a conversation like this.

A wonderful Veterinary Clinic. A team of caring and skilled people who will do everything they can for your pet. They have and always given the best care to my cat Purdie. I trust them completely. I am so incredibly grateful to have found them after being with a terrible and exploitative Vet for many years prior. I was then recommended Goddards Kingston by a friend. Goddard Kingston are warm, friendly, experienced and simply the best! Thank you.

The kindest and sweetest people. They bent over backwards to help me in my hour of need. I am eternally grateful for all that they did for me and my little puppy - they’re not even my regular vets! I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend.

Amazing staff. Caring vet nurse/front desk and a really intelligent lead vet you can trust. I have a very old cat with diabetes, kidney failure and now heart failure and they have been amazing. Best I have ever taken Ninja to.
