The food here in my opinion was pretty good, if not overpriced. Since the owner seems to have a monopoly on places that are open the day the rodeo is taking place, they have gotten the opportunity to make their prices on par with Las Vegas strip prices. That being said, it is very disgusting and unhygienic that the young lady behind the counter with blonde hair was nibbling on food with her back to the customers and eating out the freezer behind her and ignoring the customers behind the counter. The two young men were cussing up a storm. You do what you want in your own time, but I think it is disgraceful to speak like that when it is clearly marketed as a family business. The eatery itself was cramped and the fans hanging on the ceiling couldn't blow a napkin off a table if it was one inch away. You'd be better off eating outside. There are plastic tables provided in the outdoor area. Owner is unfortunately snarky and defensive when the prices are called out. She does not have any control over her employees who were seen nibbling the food with gloves on, putting those gloves to her mouth and then proceeding to double dip back into the food for customers. But if I had a boss like Sara M. I don’t think I’d listen either, she seems miserable and bitter.

Had me wait 29 minutes for a Large Fry, good food but you would get a shorter wait time to drive to a different restaurant.

Review update 9/27/25 We called in about 20 minutes before closing and the phone was off the hook. Called a couple more times and it was still not ringing through. Figured they didn't want to take a phone order which is understable. We were staying about a block away so figured we could stop in real quick and put in a small order (2 sandwiches). Drove over and placed the order with the cashier. Got ready to pay and the cook yells something from the back. The cashier gal says sorry we can't make your sandwiches. Confused, we asked if there was a possibility they could still take our order (this is well before closing time, more than 10 minutes), and she said we close the grill 10 minutes early. I said it's more than 10 minutes, is there any way we could get two sandwiches made real quick please? She says it's up to the cook. We go over by the cook and ask if there's anyway he can cook the sandwiches? Immediately says no... kind of frustrating... Both our orders were hot sandwiches, so we couldn't get any food. She said sorry and I could tell she wanted to help. If a restaurant is closing down early, they need to advertise that. It's misleading to not be able to order food before they close. They need to advertise they close at 7:40pm. Phones off the hook and you can't order in person after then. Steer clear if you're within an hour of closing. Who knows when they really shut down or will stop taking orders. Also, it wasn't busy and we were the only ones in the restaurant. If it's super busy, I get it. Seemed like the cook really wanted to leave and was turning away customers. Old review 2024 - There are surprisingly great sandwiches here for being in such a small town away from everything else! Open early, so a great spot for some coffee and hot drinks too! Breakfast sandwiches seemed to be popular (bagel, egg and cheese... Etc...) For the sandwiches we were really impressed with the Philly cheese steak. The bun was fresh and the steak and grilled veggies were really well cooked and seasoned. We'll definitely be back! They do have some fresh, local produce and frozen meat (Cheney Farms) inside in some fridges if you're looking for some more local vendor stuff. All in all, if you're in town definitely come by and check this place out!

Didn't love. It was a busy day so I am sure that's why the service was not good. We waited over an hour. That being said I'd be fine waiting if the food was worth it but it just wasn't. It was cold and the order was messed up.

I had high hopes about this place based on the reviews. But my experience here was terrible. First off, the food was very underwhelming given the cost. The burger was dry, the buns were old and stale. They make you pay extra if you want more sauce with your burger or fries. But the worst part was the service. Very dismissive and acting as if we were being a burden just by being there. Did not cut an avocado on my friends burger, just slapped a whole half on there. Told me to wait and we’ll get to it when they took 20 minutes to get one scoop of ice cream. Would not recommend. McDonalds has better service.

Not too happy with this place. I’ve had some decent food, and having the vegetarian options for the burgers are nice. The last few times I’ve gone though, the wait has been ridiculous. I went today, and after waiting almost an hour for my food, it came out and the fries were completely cold and soggy, and the burgers tasted like they came out of a fridge. Seriously so disappointing. By that point I was so hungry I couldn’t handle waiting for a redo. Probably not ever coming back.

Food Poisoning! Order was also incorrect to and insult to injury. Employee was coughing the whole time over the phone and also when I picked up the food order. My boyfriend and I both fell very ill and experienced vertigo and extreme nausea over a few days. It’s unreasonable the management allowed the employee to work at this time, due to the fact they were obviously sick. Avoid this restaurant for your own health!

BEWARE!!! We were looking forward to a weekend in Spring city. We found this grill and it looked good. Needless to say when we called in for food the person who answered was coughing uncontrollably. Now that I am wiser I should’ve hung up. That being said we ordered a good amount of food. My girlfriend and I got sick to say the least. If vertigo and bowel issues are your thing this is your joint! The person hacking up a lung was not necessary and should’ve been sent home. There was three employees there and he was not needed as they were so slow. Not only did we get crazy sick for our vacation weekend... they screwed up the order We didn’t get the amount of chicken strips that we ordered ,bad tasting FYI) they gave us the awful roots 89 salad not the chef salad. Beware not even a good salad it’s basically a hamburger with way too many pickles on lettuce. Horrible patty and cheese by the way I could not be any more disappointed. I never leave reviews but this was such a horrible experience I cannot under emphasize that. I was looking forward to a pleasant weekend vacation I am so disappointed and will tell anybody in earshot about my experience if they happen upon this place. Beware!

The onion rings were burnt to a crisp & had one raw (uncooked onion ring—apparently they are buying them frozen and rehearing them. Is nothing made from scratch anymore? So disappointing to not even taste the onion because of all the (burnt) breading.

I just bought the worst sandwich ever! The French dip I bought was horrible. The small amount of meat didn't look or taste like roast beef, they used Provolone cheese, and it was ice cold. It was the first french dip I've ever had that was served as a panini. I wasted $6 on a sandwich I'm hoping the dog will eat
