We called in about 20 minutes before closing and the phone was off the hook. Called a couple more times and it was still not ringing through. Figured they didn't want to take a phone order which is understable. We were staying about a block away so figured we could stop in real quick and put in a small order (2 sandwiches). Drove over and placed the order with the cashier. Got ready to pay and the cook yells something from the back. The cashier gal says sorry we can't make your sandwiches. Confused, we asked if there was a possibility they could still take our order (this is well before closing time, more than 10 minutes), and she said we close the grill 10 minutes early. I said it's more than 10 minutes, is there any way we could get two sandwiches made real quick please? She says it's up to the cook. We go over by the cook and ask if there's anyway he can cook the sandwiches? Immediately says no... kind of frustrating...
Both our orders were hot sandwiches, so we couldn't get any food.
She said sorry and I could tell she wanted to help.
If a restaurant is closing down early, they need to advertise that. It's misleading to not be able to order food before they close. They need to advertise they close at 7:40pm. Phones off the hook and you can't order in person after then. Steer clear if you're within an hour of closing. Who knows when they really shut down or will stop taking orders.
Also, it wasn't busy and we were the only ones in the restaurant. If it's super busy, I get it. Seemed like the cook really wanted to leave and was turning away customers.

There are surprisingly great sandwiches here for being in such a small town away from everything else!
Open early, so a great spot for some coffee and hot drinks too! Breakfast sandwiches seemed to be popular (bagel, egg and cheese... Etc...)
For the sandwiches we were really impressed with the Philly cheese steak. The bun was fresh and the steak and grilled veggies were really well cooked and seasoned. We'll definitely be back!
They do have some fresh, local produce and frozen meat (Cheney Farms) inside in some fridges if you're looking for some more local vendor stuff.
All in all, if you're in town definitely come by and check this place out!
