Gophermods staff are smart, helpful, and cost-conscious. Took my phone in today because the ringer switch wasn’t working. I’d called earlier, and they told me that the repair would cost about $90 - lots less than buying a new phone, so I was ready to go ahead. When I checked in, the front desk person said she wanted to try cleaning the switch first - didn’t think it would help, but thought it was worth a try. She cleaned it (something about an electric toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol) and the switch was fixed! I was so happy that I bought a new phone case from them to celebrate.

The people at Gopher Mods are so refreshingly honest and knowledgeable. They don’t upsell or push unnecessary upgrades. When they were unable to fix my daughter’s phone, they shocked me by refunding most of the money I had paid. I am so sad that they will be closing their retail store in October, because they are sorely needed in the world where most places are pushing the newest gadgets, never mind the environmental and social impacts. Gopher Mods tries to help people take care of and repair what they already have. They are patient, informative, and just awesome! I highly recommend them and urge you to visit them (and try to convince them to keep their retail location in the Quarry open).

They fix my phone every year or two for the last 7-8 years

We were loyal Gophermods customers at their Apple Valley and Eagan locations. We just visited this location and were equally impressed by the value and quality of the service. Purchased an iPhone 15 and activated their lifelong warranty on a cracked iPhone screensaver on another phone. They were very helpful in transferring data to the new phone and in fixing the other phone’s screensaver. They also cleaned out the old phone so the charging port performance is markedly improved. No charge, but much gratitude for that service. Worth the trip from our Apple Valley home!

The folks there are so kind! Their service is amazing to have for anyone who doesn't want to get rid of their device and instead simply fix the problem itself. Very affordable and services provided in a timely manner. I highly recommend them- especially if you're in a tight spot needing repair the same day.

The name Gophermods Minneapolis iPhone & iPad Repair may be somewhat misleading, as they also can handle repairs for products from other brands. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus that I purchased in 2019, and I noticed that the battery was losing its charge faster than usual. I decided it was time to replace the battery. After calling around to some places, a representative from Chip Head advised me to take it to Gophermods for help with my phone. It was quite simple, easy peasy, I dropped off my phone and returned two hours later to find it fixed with a new battery. The staff here are good people. They not only fixed my phone but took the time to educate this 65-year-old man, about features on my phone that I had not known before. At a very good price also. I definitely recommend them as they are genuinely cool folks. Thank you Gophermods I'll be back

I called Gophermods after a competitor failed to successfully repair my MS Surface Book 2 after having it for over two months! I spoke to Said at Gophermods (hopefully I spelled his name right) about the damaged screen. Said listened to my whole story and gave me his opinion on what could be done. Long-story-short, Said and his team made my Surface usable again! Now a few details... I use the tablet portion of the machine for my business and hence, the touch-sensitivity feature is essential. The competitor got a portion of the screen to be touch-sensitive, but it took over 60 days and I was charged $362. (To their credit, the competitor refunded my money.) Gophermods did not get the the touch-sensitivity working perfectly, but by rotating the device as a work-around, I am always able to find a spot on the screen that lets me navigate the user interface. And they made the fix in a few days, for $100 less. Good work, Said and Gophermods.

These folks do great work at a reasonable price. I've used their services in the past for phones and game consoles, and they continue to live up to the same level of quality work. Only once did I need to use their warranty, and it was on a device that had lived a HARD life. They didn't hesitate to take a second look at it, and were up front about the potential need for additional parts, and additional cost, which was reassuring of their honesty. I've recommended them in the past, and I'm recommending them now. They continue to be the first place I contact for electronics repair work.
