When I first contacted Sam Ivy, I was at my wits end with my beloved pup, LG. He was barking, pulling on leash, going after other dogs, and eating everything on the street. This was especially scary since he has a sensitive stomach and kidney disease. When I attempted to take a chicken bone out of his mouth one evening while we were on our walk, he bit me - hard; and his eyes looked angry. I was scared of my own dog, and hurting.
Emily to the rescue!!! She talked me off the "I can't control my dog" cliff, and taught me how to speak "dog." My LG is 13; he's been doing naughty for a long time. Now, not only is he way more obedient to me, he's no longer barking in the house, going after other dogs and pulling on the leash, and most of all, he's not biting me. Emily is very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Most of all, she taught me how to teach my dog how to trust me so he doesn't have to be the leader - the alpha - in our pack. I am the alpha. She also taught me how to let him know what I says goes, period (without either of us having a meltdown). We took small steps, and soon LG was a changed dog and I am a different owner. I can't thank Emily enough! LG is a different dog, I feel even closer to my Little Guy.
