My husband and I have 2 French bulldogs that we thought would never listen to us! They are known to be stubborn so we just thought we had to deal with it. Once we found Sam Ivy we knew this would be the key to having well behaved dogs. Nate, our instructor, taught us with so much detail how to become Alpha to our dogs! Everyone that knew our dogs before they had training said they are completely different dogs. We never thought we would be able to have these dogs as well behaved as they are now! Wow!! Before Lola’s training, she loved to jump, pull while on leash, bark and snatch the mail while it’s coming through the slot, and forget taking her anywhere by myself. She knew her basic commands but as I like to say, her manners are now refined! I am now able to leave her in the stay command and off leash sitting in the back yard, walk out of sight and come back to her. She is right where I left her. Since working with Nate she has calmed down so much. Tonight was a testament to the trainings. As soon as we walked into Pet Supply I could see the difference. She was definitely on alert but she did not bark once. We were able to complete our training without me feeling so anxious. I can’t speak enough about the awesome transformation I see in her. I bought a french bulldog puppy when she was 8 weeks. By 9 1/2 weeks she had bitten me in the face for the first time. I began interviewing every type of dog trainer. Those that come to your home, boarding academies, group classes. Then I found Sam Ivy K9 Consultants on line. I talked at length with Enzo and everything he said completely resonated with me. He told me that in order to develop good behavior in your dog, you have to teach the dog to respect you. That felt like exactly the problem I was having. My little 6 pound bulldog was trying to be dominant. The classes were all on line, which was very helpful with my busy schedule. And most importantly, the classes were to teach ME to handle my dog, not just training a dog to do something it will soon forget. I signed up immediately and Gina would become my trainer. Gina is, without a doubt, the most kind, caring, patient person I have ever met. She is truly a dog whisperer. My dog looked forward to her classes. Gina also arranged the classes around my schedule. We worked together for 3 months and I now have a completely different dog. She is obedient on and off leash. And I will keep what I learned forever. I will be forever grateful to Gina for all her instruction, kindness and great advice and Enzo for his words of wisdom. I would never trust my dog to anyone else.

Sam Ivy is the place to go if you are considering dog training! I am currently in the advanced on-leash program with my 2 rescue dogs - Bruges & Palmer. I am training with our trainer, Haley, via zoom which has been a surprisingly positive experience. Whereas it would've taken the dogs too long to calm down if Haley came here in person, we can jump right in each session without excess energy or excitement so we get way more value for the cost of the program. And believe me, regardless of being on zoom, Haley effectively corrects my form and sees their nuanced behavior way better than I thought possible. Haley is always positive every session - even when I get frustrated - and I look forward to sharing our progress and showing off the hard work we put into practice. Bruges - a 4 year old pointer mix - had terrible destructive behavior due to anxiety prior to starting the program. Anything from thunderstorms to noises easily overlooked could spark her anxiety. Palmer - a 2 year old catahoula mix - was not well socialized prior to coming to live with us this year, stubborn, & was exceedingly difficult to walk without pulling. Both would bark excessively when someone was at the front door or simply walking by. No matter how much research & reading I did - I was largely unsuccessful at effectively solving these issues with them. I had an incredible amount of guilt & felt like an awful dog mom. Sam Ivy helped me identify the root cause of their respective issues, how to better communicate with them, and gave me the medium through which to grow and learn alongside them as they advanced. It is almost unbelievable the change I have seen in them! Bruges no longer has destructive tendencies when anxious & Palmer is nothing but a gentleman now in addition to the numerous other skills they have garnered. Prior to starting the program, the behavior consultant - Brett - scheduled time to speak with me in detail about the issues I wanted to address with my dogs & our goals beyond their core issues. He recommended the ideal program, was transparent about pricing, and set us up with trainer Haley. Sam Ivy ordered & shipped me the supplies needed for the program within a few days of enrolling. I definitely recommend their program to anyone looking to address problem behaviors or simply looking for some extra mental stimulation & skill development for their dogs!

I just finished my intermediate on leash training with my pup and I could not say enough great things about this program! We worked with Emily who was so supportive and consistent! I came to Sam Ivy because my 1 year old Mini Goldendoodle was extremely vocal on walks and when company would come over, additionally she was beginning to nip at kids which were both very frustrating to me!
