I am extremely pleased with Sam Ivy K9 Consultants; they are highly professional and the training far exceeded my expectations. They provided online training that was and is exceptional! They customized the training to me and my dog and the transformation in his behavior is remarkable. Everyone I have interacted with at Sam Ivy has been amazing, reliable, experienced and genuine. I would highly recommend Sam Ivy to anyone whether you have a puppy or older dog- their approach and method is phenomenal. I highly recommend the online training as it is flexible, in you and your dogs environment, safe and individualized. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Wonderful company! My girl is very reactive on leash towards other dogs and since she's 80lbs, it's been difficult to control her around other dogs. My Sam Ivy trainer, Thuylinh, taught me all about proper pack behavior and how to give her structure in her life so that she is obedient, less anxious, and overall just much easier to handle. I was honestly worried about the virtual training aspect and thought it wouldn't be as effective, but Thuylinh has been extremely communicative, very thorough in our video sessions, and explains everything so clearly. I'm still part way through training but my pup has made remarkable progress and now I'm able to walk her without worrying as much about other dogs. Walks for both my pup and me are so much less stressful now!

I have 2 young female dogs, both from the humane society. One came into the picture about a year after the first. For a long time, they were fine, but with covid, we’ve all been home together for 5 months and they were getting too much sister time. I started to notice dominance issues and their playing was leading to drawing blood. I felt like I had no control and I didn’t know what to do. I researched a lot of places online and was mostly worried that they wanted to do zoom. Sam Ivy’s had such high reviews, so I decided to do their free initial consultation. I met with Brett and he changed my mindset. Having a trainer present was a distraction and my dogs would be learning to listen to them and not me. We were set up with Miguel as our trainer. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to him for his expertise and patience. I know more dog stuff than most people and during our training sessions and conversations I would constantly be asking questions and taking notes. Miguel answered them all, but most importantly, he gave me the “why”. I learned so much as a dog owner and my dogs have completely transformed. I will be signing up for a higher training level with Miguel and this amazing company soon.

I have searched for almost 2 years for the right training for our anxious and resource-aggressive dog, Luna. Obedience training did very little for her, trainers won't come to the house because of the aggression, her veterinarians had few solutions other than diet changes and medication (which didn't do much), and we were at a point where we were hesitant to have any visitors to our house because of her often unpredictable behavior. Anytime she ate or had a bone, she growled at anyone who came near, and there were many times when she attacked our other dogs seemingly at random. She is a herding breed mix, so she was constantly on patrol, and the barking at anything and everything was making us lose our minds. Enter Sam Ivy Consultants. I discovered them through Google searching, as we had just adopted a new puppy and needed support now more than ever. I watched the free course and was impressed with their unique philosophy- it just made so much sense. I scheduled a Zoom meeting to look into it further, and spent over an hour finally being HEARD about our struggles. Someone had HOPE for us, really for the first time. Now I had to convince my husband that this was THE training for us. The cost was fair and reasonable, but still a scary investment without a guarantee that it would work. Understandably, he was very skeptical, but he knew we had the responsibility to try. It took only about 5 minutes with Erica for him to be sold. We are now almost done with our training, and this has been the best 3 1/2 weeks with our dogs. Luna is a completely different animal. We are now the leaders of our little pack, so she can finally just relax. She almost never barks anymore, and if she does, we just tell her, "no," or "all done," and she settles right down. She hasn't attacked our other 2 dogs once, and we can even pet her when she eats now. When people come to visit, she is friendlier and doesn't jump or bark at them. This is downright life changing for us. I mentioned that we also have a puppy. Finnegan is 6 1/2 months old, and he is a very good boy, but he is 58 pounds of energy. This training has settled him down immensely (very little barking, no naughty chewing, almost no jumping), but more importantly, like Luna, he feels the safety and security of living in the calm environment he deserves. I cannot sing the praises of Sam Ivy K-9 Consultants, especially those of Erica Woods, loudly enough. I will be forever indebted to them for how they have helped us transform our canine family. This program is PRICELESS...

I highly recommend Sam Ivy’s Proper Back Behavior Training program. My 3 year old pup Maia was having some terrible destructive behavior once the stay at home order due to COVID was lifted and I started to spend more time out of the house. I tried all the calming treats, toys, collar, diffuser you name it and nothing seem to work. Our trainer Madina is the best! She is very patient, with a very calming and reassuring personality which was so important for a first time dog owner like me who had no clue how to train my dog. With this training Maia has improved her walking (no pulling) spot training (stays up to 2 hours!!) and while we still have some work to do with crate training, Maia is at a much better place and I have the tools to continue to practice and get her there.
