After our St. Bernard, Winston has many bad behavior episodes and ultimately ending up biting a friend of mine, my husband and I decided that we needed help in changing his bad behavior. We first looked locally for a trainer, and after not being satisfied with what we found, we turned to the internet where we found Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. We watched the introductory course with Sam and decide to jump into the Intermediate Obedience Training course with Winston. Our trainer was Gina and we met with her virtually 3 times a week. Gina was excellent in teaching the us correct way to handle our big boy. A dog his size is very intimidating when he thinks he is in charge. The Sam Ivy training changes all that. We are now able to take him on walks without him pulling or chasing squirrels or rabbits. He focuses his attention on us when we ask him to he comes to us when called and the biggest breakthrough, the we can ask for and take away a bone or similar item from him without incident. Before the training he would growl and try to bite, nobody could get near him. Gina was very professional, always answering any questions we may have had. Not only did she help train Winston, she trained US in how to better recognize and correct Winston’s bad behaviors. We highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants (and Gina) if you are looking for a quality training program for your dog. They are very professional, and the results speak for themselves. We couldn’t be happier with our better behaved furry family member!
