We inherited our Athena last May from our son. Athena is a 3 year old Leonberger so she is a large, loveable dog that craves attention and cuddles. She knew basics commands like sit, stay, back and off but she needed more. We needed to control her barking plus we wanted her to be qualified as a service dog. Nate, is an amazing trainer. Very knowledgeable about dog behavior and he explains the training techniques until he knows we are comfortable. Nate is very patient and very easy to talk to. He listens to what we have to say and explains things well and even has his dog there to show us what to be doing. Nate has an incredible understanding of dogs, and thanks to him, my dog Athena is now fully trained as a service dog. Highly recommend his services! We are done with the program but will always keep training our dog Athena. We see a difference in Athena in just the time we had training with Nate. I thought it would be impossible to train my dog through a zoom call, but Holli has proven me wrong. Holli is the best, she is available 24/7, always patient and goes the extra mile. Brodi her dog is an extra bonus, he is adorable. I highly recommend Holli she is the best and thanks Sam Ivy.

Our dog Harley needed some polishing up and Holli did an amazing job helping us! If you’re on the fence, it’s worth the money! I really enjoyed that we got to do the work ourselves, and Holli is amazing at guiding you and making sure things go well. She is incredibly knowledgable and has helped Harley progress through her issues (barking, rushing, etc) and increased her obedience. She has also taught us how to communicate better with our pup and how to give her clear signals. Overall, 100% worth the money and a great experience.

I can’t say enough good things about Holli. We knew we were in great hands on day one. Holli is knowledgeable about dog behavior but she also tailors her approach to our individual needs with each dog making the dog training feel personal and very effective. We made great progress in just a few sessions. Whether it’s basic obedience, more controlled walks or more complex obedience issues, Holli addresses with a calm and consistent approach. Holli is our dog training superstar!

We sought out the help of the SamIvy team to assist in addressing some aggressive behavior from one dog to another after my girlfriend and I moved in together. One dog became territorial over space, people, and food in the house and would exhibit unpredictable aggressive behavior towards the second dog multiple times per week which caused distress for everyone in the home. Our trainer Ryann was fantastic and was able to rapidly help us address the problem by identifying preemptive signs of aggressive behaviors and teaching us how to manage and correct them at the source. We were skeptical about the zoom training at first but it was extremely effective as all of the learning is done directly through the dog owner in the natural environment of the home rather than through third person or location, so all of the learning and obedience comes straight from the owner in the dogs eyes. We have not had an aggressive incident since we started correcting the behaviors with the help of Ryann and everyone in the home is much happier now. Thank you Ryann!!!

I was really skeptical at first about the online format for training and I also was worried about the cost. The cost is very similar to an in person training experience. I had it in my head that doing the training over zoom would be less effective and not worth the money. After going through the program, I actually think doing dog training over zoom is ideal. I was able to gain knowledge and tools with expert help and guidance from Nate, our trainer. While doing this on zoom our dog could not smell or sense Nate at all. All of the corrections and training were coming directly from me, which helped to establish me as the pack leader. We did have an in person trainer in the past, which was okay, but our dog was only “good” for the trainer. Our dog learned how to behave around that trainer but it never translated to good behavior for me. I’m glad we decided to give this training a try. We are very pleased with the results. We went from being scared that we would have to give our dog up for adoption due to aggressive behaviors, to now feeling in control. Money well spent.

Can’t say enough great things about our trainer, Holli! We started with Holli about 3 weeks after we rescued our 11 month old pup Summer. At first, Summer pulled a lot on walks and jumped a lot indoors. We started with the proper pack behavior course and moved onto the on-leash comprehensive obedience course. With the proper use of the prong collar and e-collar, walks are now more enjoyable and jumping rarely happens when unwanted! Summer has come such a long way within the last 2 months and we couldn’t have done it without Holli! She cares so much about her clients and always reaches out in between training sessions to see how Summer is progressing. We can’t thank Holli enough for coaching us through training and for always being a phone call/text away if we needed something!
