When I brought home my new Doberman girl Storm I was instantly in love, but she gave me every challenge a puppy possibly could pose for a dog owner. From incessant barking and whining throughout the night, severe house breaking issues, to pulling on the leash, jumping and mouthing - you name it, she did it and she did it REALLY well! Even after having owned dogs my entire life I was lost and overwhelmed and started getting frustrated. When she started chewing my door and window frames in my house I realized I could not wait any longer and decided to get professional help. I met with several trainers to discuss training options but after consulting with Claudia I knew Sam Ivy was the perfect fit for us. I loved the fact that the trainer would come to your home to train with you where you experience the bad behavior. I started training with Maribel and the difference in Storm's behavior was truly day and night. After just one session with her, Storm's demeanor changed entirely - from a stubborn Dobie that was lacking respect for its owner to submissive and willing to being lead. Housebreaking and other issues like pulling on the leash or jumping were solved almost instantly. While I knew that dog training would require hard work, time and persistence the impact that training with Maribel has made in our lives in only 3 weeks is nothing short of amazing. We have now moved on from Proper Pack Behavior to Intermediate On-Leash training and I look forward to every training session with Maribel. It just keeps getting better! Truly thankful for everyone at Sam Ivy, from the initial contact Angie, to Claudia the coordinator and last but most definitely not least our girl Maribel. You are the best!
