I highly recommend Sam Ivy K9 Consultants! This training was life changing for both my family and our dogs Rocco and Bella. Jackie (from Sam Ivy) trained both of my dogs with very different behavioral issues. My rescue dog Rocco had aggression issues from living on the streets of Miami. He is a large, muscular and very strong dog. He showed aggression towards people, cars, bicycles, and anything that moved. Taking him for a walk, to the vet, or anywhere was physically and mentally draining as I had to struggle to keep him under control. My neighbors were terrified of him and would go into their homes if we were walking down the street. Jackie taught me how to train him in the “Proper Pack Behavior” course which focused on the bad behaviors. He has been taught the behavior that is expected of him and he looks to me for direction when he is in a stressful situation where he used to lash out aggressively. He is truly a changed dog. He is much more relaxed and happier. Rocco also participated in the “On Leash Training” course and learned numerous new useful commands. My other rescue dog Bella had obedience issues. She was always very spoiled and had developed into a very stubborn dog. She would not listen when instructed and developed unacceptable behaviors. Jackie worked with us to show her commands in the “On Leash Training” course. The results have been very positive. Her behavior has changed where she has learned that we are the boss and that she needs to listen to our commands. She has learned numerous commands that we use on a regular basis. I tried numerous other trainers and training methods with both Rocco and Bella but none of them were successful. Jackie did a great job of explaining the training, what was required of us to be successful and corrected us if we were doing something incorrectly. She really gave us the tools to deal with any future training issues and to reinforce the training through out Rocco’s and Bella’s lives. If you want professionals who deliver results, then give Sam Ivy a call. You won’t be disappointed. My family and my dogs are glad we did.

Had an amazing experience with our trainer Maribel of Sam Ivy K9 Fort Lauderdale. Our dog Lola had a terrible problem of barking at the TV to the point where we couldn’t go a few minutes without loud barking fits. Our Lola has undergone a day-and-night transformation and has become an even more amazing dog. This program is innovative and extremely effective. Never would I have thought that my dog could be trained so fast and efficiently. Maribel was professional, punctual and patient. I could not recommend her more!

Before our trainer Alexis came into our lives it was a challenge for me to take Oliver for walks, outdoors, or really anywhere that was not our home. He is scared of a lot of things and this causes him to become defensive. He is a pitbull mix so people tend to be scared of him regardless of his character but when he began becoming too protective of me towards people and other dogs I decided to try out Sam Ivy K9. I am so glad I did. Oliver and I graduated from training today and I feel that I am in control of my dog now and our relationship, as dog and owner, is so much better because I can trust him and he can trust me. Alexis was so great with Oliver and such a great teacher for me as well. I highly recommend this company and Alexis as your trainer.

We have had a great experience with Sam Ivy training. Miguel was our trainer and he has been fantastic. He made himself available whenever we needed him. His patience with our dogs and our family was greatly appreciated. Miguel listened to our frustrations around training and put together a comprehensive plan. He was able to get our older stubborn bulldog back on track as well as teach our new boxer puppy how to behave. I’m so glad we met Miguel, he was absolutely the best thing we could have done for our dogs and our family. I highly recommend calling Miguel for your training needs.

I recently used Sam ivy and had Alexis as a trainer. She was nothing short of amazing, always caring and going above and behind for my pup and the training. I would recommend her to anyone who wants great service and training.

We have 2 dogs, one we have had since she was a puppy and was the queen of the house, and the other is a rescue. Both showed different dominant behaviors, but our rescue dog was showing signs of aggression towards us (not other people, unless they are jogging!l. We were at a loss what to do with their behavior and walks were miserable between pulling, stopping at every bush, and their reactions (lunging) to dogs. After some research, we found Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. Their training methods and philosophy seemed very effective and made sense. It is a time and monetary investment, but our dogs' happiness and having an orderly, happy household are well worth the the investment. We had Miguel as our trainer (as it was us who had to be trained and taught!) and he is so nice, patient, and knowledgeable. He took so much time to answer what probably ended up being 1000 questions, and he clearly loves dogs. He is such a great teacher and has helped us and our dogs get into the right order in our pack. Even after the first training session, our dogs' response was incredible...instantly walks became so much more pleasurable without constant pulling and it even tamed the lunging at dogs passing by - again, that was the result after 1 lesson about learning how to hold the leash and practice walking indoors. It is simply amazing. Also, each of our dogs has a different issue we are working to correct. Although you generally work with one dog per session, we can take the lesson of the day and just apply and work on it with each dog and it really helps resolve the different issues using the exact same training. Our dogs now see that we are the leaders of the pack, have things under control, and they can follow our lead. We could not have gotten control of our dogs without Miguel and Sam Ivy K9 Consultants. We look forward to continuing to work with Miguel on the next phase of obedience!

I called Sam Ivy when I brought home my rescue dog and she began displaying aggressive dominant behaviors. My dog would attack anyone and anything that we walked by. I even had to change my sleep schedule to ensure I would be walking my dog when NO ONE was around... Then our trainer Alexis entered our lives. Alexis was more than I could have asked for. She was kind, knowledgeable, punctual, professional, and she genuinely cared about my dog. Even though our training ended a couple weeks ago, she still reaches out to see how my dog is doing. Alexis completed sessions with me everywhere I had mentioned my dog was having or had had difficulty. She took us to the vet, to pet stores, to restaurants, busy social hangouts with lots of dogs... She was phenomenal and I can’t thank her enough!
