This year and last year my tax filing was good. I recommend

This was my first experience with AO tax. What I liked-The team was prompt in their responses. The turn around time for the draft as well as actual filing was good. What I didn't like was multiple points of contacts which lead to confusion over the price of the products.

Last year they didn't calculate the city tax I need to pay correctly and I had to pay penalty for it. They blamed it on the w2 for the mistake. This year I provided a single PDF with two form 1098s from the two banks I had mortgage with in last year and they just calculated the mortgage interest from 1st page and also didn't bother to look for the amount I entered their in the tax organizer I uploaded for them. I had to explain in call and correct them. They fixed and uploaded a new draft but guess what they did not add the property tax from the second bank now . I am done with AOTax . And one of the guys said I can't file a itemized if I am in the same client location for more than 12 months and it's a IRS rule. When I asked for the IRS site link where this rule is mentioned I didn't get any reply on that yet . I have been a repeated customer with them from 2013 but not anymore !

I have filed my tax already, even after informing this to your company I get repeated calls everyday atleast twice that my documents are pending. I feel harassed everyday, I will never recommend your company to others or use in future.

Pathetic experience!! These guys don't know how to file taxes for Non-residents with different visa status. I filed my 2016 tax with them and this year I got a notice from IRS and have been charged with penalties for filing incorrect tax. When I connected with AO tax regarding this, they irresponsible enough to say they don't know which tax consultant filed the last year's tax for me. This doesn't just stop here, the amendment documents prepared by them to resolve this issue was again incorrect with all wrong information. I would not recommend anyone!!

Major errors, no proper response when you call, and they charge for itemized deductions when they do only standard deductions. No One knows answers properly to question on tax forms. Not recommended,

Stay away thats the only advice i can give. Very bad experience. In the end my taxes were filed incorrectly and have to be amended by the tax and revenue department. Jamaal Malik contacted me and listened to my problems and promised to amend them in the future.
