What an unforgettable trip this was! Micato was there every step of the way to make it that more memorable with the best service and best sightings one could wish for!

We recently completed our second adventure with Micato, the most recent to India. It was exquisite! A 5-Star rating for each adventure isn’t enough. If you haven’t traveled with Micato, you haven’t really traveled. Our journey actually began with our Micato Travel Advisor, Marion Miller who listened carefully to our interests. Since our requests didn’t fall into the standard itineraries, she designed an adventure that was tailored to everything we requested. And even included items we weren’t aware of, but so glad she included.
She quickly answered our questions and listened carefully to our desires; then worked closely with their India Office to ensure they were aware of our needs and expectations. The entire trip was flawless.
Our Personal Guide Piyush was extremely personal in addition to processing an amazing wealth of knowledge including but not limited to history, religions and cultures. He also had an endless treasure of options, always seeking to understand and meet our needs. His listening skills and flexibility during the trip were superb, always working to exceed our expectations, whatever we needed. Wherever we were, many people knew liked and respected Piyush. The other half of our India Team was our Driver, Praful. We are still amazed at how he would always be there (even in extremely crowded venues) waiting in a cool car with snacks and refreshments at the end of every activity. If you have been to India and are aware of the traffic issues this is even more unbelievable. He was fantastic!
Throughout our journey we were constantly greeted by other Micato members, all in place to make sure everything was perfect. The lodging throughout the trip was opulent, whether staying in a palace or glamping. The food and drink options were plentiful and premium.
The sights whether Palaces, Temples, Forts, Cities or National Parks where incredible, which were obviously due to the knowledge, planning and efforts by Piyush and Praful. Just visiting the sights isn’t enough. It’s about seeing them at the best time of day, to get the most out of each visit, sunrise to sunset. Whether being greeted by rose petals falling from overhead or lining our entrance to the sound of Trumpets and Drums, they picked the best resorts with the best staff, the best destinations. They thought of everything from arrival to departure.

Guided by Denis Simi, we felt safe and excited from arrival to departure, despite Covid tension, which disappeared once we were in Africa with Micato. All of our pre-trip questions were answered re-assuringly by Becky Craft and Ariel Spodek. The Elephant Orphanage at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi was our favorite, among the many exotic experiences of the Stanley Wing.

After a long delay due to the pandemic, my Micato trip finally began. Close to 30 hours of travel left me exhausted. When I cleared immigration at Kilimanjaro Airport, our expert guide Rodgers smiling face was just what I needed. It was at that point I realized this was going to be an experience I would never forget. Accomodations for the entire Tanzamia Spectactular were outstanding. Our group was always met with a warm reception and top notch rooms and views. I sort of miss not being awakened by elephants, lion roars, hippo grunts and other night sounds of Africa. African wildlife was abundant. Rodgers made certain we saw what we expected and more. That was a trend. My expectations were very high. Micato and Rodgers exceeded those expectations at every level. Lunches and dinners served in the conservation areas only added to the unique experience. The hot air balloon ride was outstanding only to be exceeded by the champaign breakfast when we landed in the middle of the Serengeti. I thought this would be the trip of a lifetime. I now wonder if that is true. I know I would go again in a heartbeat if the situation became available. Micato is outstanding.

We have travelled extensively around the world and this was not our first trip to Africa. However, the thing that left us most impressed in this unusually difficult time of global pandemic was the care, concern and attention to detail provided by Ian and each of the Micato staff that we encountered at each stop along the way. Your team couldn’t have been more attentive and accommodating and it reflects the unique customer centered mindset that you have instilled throughout your company.

November 2021 will be my 6th trip with Micato Safaris in beautiful Kenya. They are very professional and knowledgeable about many different disciplines such as biology, geology, and cultural aspects of their regional area. In some cases they even know the linage of the individual animals of the area.
The staff is very accommodating of your every wish for your trip. You will never know if any difficulties arise as the Micato teem has already solved the issue without a hitch on your awe inspiring safari. They should be your first choice to travel with! They will always be my only choice for safari!!!
