Micato has raised the bar when it comes to vacation travel. Customer service, accommodations, and the safari itinerary varied over elevation and topography so we saw varying flora and fauna ecosystems. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and shared information not only about the animals, but the culture of the people and countries visited. Logistics could not have been smoother - we were greeted at the Nairobi airport upon arriving, walked through various passport control stations in Kenya and Tanzani, and our private escort said goodbye to us after she walked us all the way to our gate when returning home. I would not consider another trip to East Africa unless I traveled with Micato

Absolutely fantastic trip! Micato did a truly exceptional job managing every detail, all logistics, fabulous meals and outstanding safari director, guides and drivers. We absolutely loved it! Highly recommend the gorilla trekking in Rawanda and the Rhinos at the beautifully renovated Lewa camp. The Four Seasons Serengeti rooms with the view of the watering hole was another high point. This was truly a trip of a lifetime — can’t wait to go back!

Trip of a lifetime! Patrick Nylenta was our guide. Very knowledgeable,patient and ready to fix any problem along the way. He never left our side. I know he’s been on these safaris many times so it’s probably just another giraffe to him . He never showed that. He acted just as excited as if it was his first safari.He was able to scan the horizon, see the picture as a whole and explain what was happening between the animals . We learned a lot. Many times I felt like I was in a movie as he explained what was happening between the .animals. Someone’s sick, no problem Magically a Dr shows up to make sure everyone is ok. The places we stayed were some of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff were very pleasant and were willing to help .All pleasant personalities acting as if we were guests in their own home. Surely someone was having a bad day but I never saw that. Our drivers were very knowledgeable as well. We all got along great and again they were superb driversThere was a lot of laughter and teasing going on in our jeep!Thank you for a wonderful trip and sharing your countries beauty with us. Our Micato Safari Experience
Luxury safari travel is a crowded space, with many companies competing for your attention.
After our recent experience with Micato, I can honestly say they set themselves apart.
We booked a 10-day Tanzania adventure with a Kenya add-on, and from the moment we
landed, the level of service was exceptional.
Our guide, Emmanuel Olais, met us at the airport and stayed with us throughout the entire trip.
There were no handoffs from one guide to another—just one consistent, knowledgeable and
incredibly thoughtful person by our side from beginning to end. Emmanuel was organized,
professional and genuinely invested in making our experience special.
And it was the little things that made such a big impression. Some days we sang the Jambo
song together. Other days, Emmanuel surprised us with an unexpected off-site lunch or a
thoughtful gift and bedtime story waiting on our beds when we returned from dinner. These
weren't things he had to do—they were the details that made us feel truly cared for and
important.
We were also celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday, and Emmanuel went above and beyond.
One evening, he arranged for a Maasai group to sing and perform during our birthday dinner.
Those are the moments, beyond the incredible wildlife and scenery, that we will remember for a
lifetime.
Our accommodations at each stop were equally memorable. We experienced luxury “glamping”
tents complete with private bathrooms and showers, and even stayed in a spectacular luxury
treehouse overlooking the surrounding terrain. Every property was unique, but they all had one
thing in common: the staff. The people who run these camps were among the warmest and
most welcoming people we have ever encountered. Their hospitality and attention to service
were truly exceptional.
A special thank-you to Jackie Ng’ang’a, who was an indispensable help when we had a
luggage issue. And of course, to our wonderful drivers, Salumu, John and Aaron, who kept us
safe while sharing their knowledge, stories and incredible enthusiasm throughout the journey.
Micato didn't simply show us Africa—they created an experience filled with personal touches,
unexpected surprises and memories we'll cherish for the rest of our lives.
We’re already looking forward to our next adventure with Micato: India!

Our positive impression of Micato began before we even left for our African safari. Nick kept us fully informed and was so helpful in addressing the many questions we had along the way. Once we left for the trip, we knew immediately that we were in good hands. Our safari director, known as PaPa Lu, worked tirelessly to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of each daily safari excursion. What set this trip apart was the little things like hot water bottles in bed at night, drawing a bath after a long excursion on the Savannah for each lady to enjoy and even remembering a birthday which involved a cake and dancing! We even had a surprise gourmet lunch under a private tent which made us the envy of the other tourists. This trip exceeded our expectations in large part due to Micato’s attention to detail and listening to what people liked or disliked to improve future trips. I highly recommend Micato and am confident that you will have a similar experience that leaves you smiling and exhilarated.
