Micato is a totally family owned company, and they epitomize the philosophy "we treat our clients the way we treat our family". I have taken three trips to Africa with Micato, will be going again in 2020, and will continue to go each year until I am no longer able to do it. Each time I have gone Micato has seemed to me like one big beautiful, happy family, and they always made me feel a part of it. I have traveled many places, with many companies, but never have I had such a phenomenally terrific experience as I've had with Micato. Every detail is taken care of and executed to perfection by such a professional staff both in New York and Africa. From the time you book your trip the wonderful surprises just keep coming, and don't end until the sad day when your trip ends. I have never been so passionate about traveling anywhere before I went to Africa, but it is in my blood now, and Micato has made it this way for me. Every day is non-stop exhilaration morning 'til night, and the enthusiasm and graciousness of the staff is absolutely infectious.The lodgings, food, surprises, game drives, guides, and drivers are all truly exceptional and over the top. Each trip is a magnificently awesome experience that I never want to end, and all year I think about my return trip with great excitement and anticipation, as each day is such a fabulous new adventure. Traveling with Micato is an absolute MUST in your lifetime!

Our experience with Micato was incredible in every way. They created a completely stress-free trip - they truly think of everything! Everyone at Micato was wonderful, from planning the trip to our guide, as well as the drivers and staff at the lodges where we stayed. They do a great job showcasing a variety of locations in East Africa, each place we stayed was unique in its own special way. For us, one of the highlights was our guide Johnson who was knowledgeable, fun and easygoing, and really made the trip extra special. We could not recommend Micato more, and are hoping to go on another trip with them soon!

Our May 2018 Bespoke Tanzania and Rwanda Safari was simply amazing. Every day was as good or better than the previous one. We were wowed from beginning to end by the closeness to the animals, the number and variety of animals, and the information on the culture of the local people, the animals and their habitat.
Micato's organization and attention to detail leaves no stone unturned and allowed our family to have an amazing and unique experience - stress free.
Rodgers, our Safari Director, was the perfect match for our family. We clicked from the very first minute. Loved his attention to detail, his concern, his sense of humour, his laugh. We were sad to say good bye when we left for Rwanda. Our Driver-guide, Andrew, was very knowledgeable and has an unbelievable spotting ability. We had a blast.
The camps are breathtaking, the food was great and the staff is exceptional! We sang and even danced with the staff on one of the several specials celebrations evenings (cake was so good). We could not have had a better time.
Meg's (Micato) recommendation of itinerary and lodging for our family was second to none. It met all our needs and wants and more. Meg is delightful and easy to work with. Thank you for making our vacation so wonderful.

Our family had an amazing safari in Kenya and Tanzania with Micato. No detail was left out. The transportation, the food, the guides (Peter!!) were all perfect. I can't imagine a better outfitter to chose!
