First, I'm in sales, but despise manipulating tactics, refuse to use them, and out of principle, I refuse to buy something, even if it's what I want at a great price if someone isn't genuine. I visited almost every bike shop in DFW over a 3 week period (hint: the one with by far the most used BMW's will never have my business). I needed some direction on what bike to get based on several criteria, but had more or less decided on a used BMW R1200 RT. Ben and Donny at the Bedford shop spent a substantial amount of time helping me work through the pros and cons of the RT, and suggested I look at the GS, but knew the one they had was not in my price range. A week later I asked a friend who has been riding for 50 years where to go, and he recommended Lucky Penny, so I went back. They had me test drive the RT, but Ben said he couldn't in good conscience sell it as is. He called his friend's shop in CO who had what I was looking for to effectively give away my business. While I was waiting to work out details, I asked to test drive the GS, which they knew was more than I was going to spend, and I fell in love. Ben and Donny helped me find the right bike, and made it happen, but the main reason I bought from them is because I knew they were willing to give away my business to do the right thing, and that's what the world needs more of.
