I received three different quotes to replace my boiler. All the quotes were based on a site visit prior to the quote.
I chose to go with Pettifer based on a previous recommendation along with the knowledge no extra copper piping being required from the gas meter; as the other companies were insisting 3 metres of copper piping was required when in fact this was not the case.
Pettifer completed a good job and did the work in less time than anticipated.

Just had a new Worcester Bosch boiler and Nest Thermostat fitted by Richard and his team. The whole process from start to finish was extremely efficient and carried out to a very high standard, everything was explained to me and Richard pointed me in the right direction when I had a few questions on what we needed. Deanne was always extremely helpful in the office and all registrations for all the required certificates and guarantee's were handled by them. They made what could've been a stressful experience very easy, would highly recommend for all plumbing and gas works that are needed by anyone.

I used Pettifer to fit my new boiler and think they were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them going forward.
Given how much a new boiler costs I got 3 quotes before I decided that I would choose them. I asked Pettifer and two large national companies to quote. Pettifer were best at every point
- They discussed all the various boiler options and agreed which would work best in my house (which aligned with the Which recommendation). The other companies pushed me towards the ones they had in stock. One initially recommended the wrong size which seemed to be the only size they had at the time.
- Richard from Pettifer did the initial quote and fitted the boiler. The other two companies used salesman who had no practical experience.
- I had follow up queries on the quote which Richard called me back to discuss. One of the other companies dealt with the queries at a call centre with no knowledge of the job.
- Pettifer offered a 12 year warranty on the job and registered it straight away for me. The other two gave a lot shorter warranties and required you to have their maintenance agreement (which no doubt would ratchet in price every year).
- Pettifer were significantly cheaper
Richard and team turned up on the agreed date at the agreed time and fitted the boiler with no issues. They then tidied everything up after themselves taking away all the packaging and the old boiler.
It has worked perfectly from day 1.

Very professional. Will definitely be using again. Appointment sorted out really quickly to check for a leak. Completely transparent about pricing. Plumbers arrived on time and carried out the check very efficiently.
