This term Year 5 has been reading the Ickabog by JK Rowling. This week, we have created maps of Cornucopia, the country in the story. Students used direct evidence from the text and their own creative and critical thinking skills to visually represent Cornucopia! Both Miss Ellis and 5E are very proud of their work! #mamrelearning

Year 5 have worked so hard this Term to complete their ‘Biorama’ ready for our Exhibition today. Students have studied Biomes from the around the world in Geography whilst in Science learning about the adaptations that animals have to make in order to survive and thrive in these Biomes. Year 5 have worked tirelessly on these projects. Each group had to present their Biorama along with a poster and a detailed speech that showed what they had learnt throughout Term 3. It is safe to say that Miss Mullen, Mr Melendez and Miss Ellis could not be any prouder of Year 5’s efforts. #mamrelearning

The Mamre Anglican School 2020 Showcase was an exhibition of works from Design & Technology, Visual Arts and Multimedia.
The Showcase featured HSC major works from our year 12 students, as well as work from Year 11 and highly accomplished year 9 & 10 students.
As we were unable to invite parents and friends to view the exhibition in person, we hope you will appreciate this video, showing the depth of skill and imagination in the students studying these subjects. #mamrelearning

5A have been reading and analysing Lance Balchin’s Aquatica over the past term. This has fit in to both our Informative Writing and Animal Adaptation units. We have created our very own Aquatica Animals that may be lurking in the ocean in the future. Miss Mullen and 5A are very proud of their incredibly intricate artworks. #mamrelearning
