The Freshmen League is a program designed for first-year men at BC to expand your friend group and make solid connections with upperclassmen. Male-identifying students are placed on a team with seven other freshmen and two upperclassmen “Captains.” The Freshmen League will help you navigate Boston College, give you a couple of cool older mentors, and provide an opportunity to explore Boston with an additional group of friends. Meetings will take place IN PERSON throughout the Spring semester (in a safe, socially distant format). Application deadline is Nov 5th. Link in bio or swipe right for the QR Code.

For today's #MentalHealthMonday, we're spotlighting a memorial and reflective space well known by BC students: the Labyrinth. Officially called the Memorial Labyrinth, this space was dedicated on September 11, 2003 to honor the lives of 22 Boston College alumni lost in the 9/11 tragedy. Rebecca Valette presents "5 paths through the Labyrinth", with descriptions of ways to take advantage of the peacefulness this space provides. Click on the link in bio for her meditative guide to walking the Labyrinth. We urge you to step outside (with masks on!) and venture down Linden Lane, behind Bapst Library, to experience the serenity yourself.

We provide a tented, socially distanced location, a lunch, a heater (because it's October...brrr), a discussion guide and four classmates - the rest is up to you! We still have spots open for October. Check link in bio to sign up!

For today’s #MentalHealthMonday, we’re honoring a beloved spot for BC students: the Res! Officially called the Chestnut Hill Reservoir, the Res is a popular spot all year round. During the fall, though, you can’t beat the gorgeous foliage (and the perfect #GassonGram view). Grab a friend for a walk or a jog and go enjoy the Res this week... After all, winter really is coming!
Ascend is open to students of any gender identity who are interested in participating! Are you looking for a program that meets in person? Ascend provides you the ability to connect with other first-year women and upper-class mentors. Participate in meaningful conversations about what it means to be a woman on BC's campus and engage in (socially distant) activities. Applications (link in the bio) are due October 18th at midnight! Any questions, email ascend@bc.edu
