#BC2024 One of the best parts of Boston College is the wide array of cultural clubs that are present on campus. This week we will be highlighting Asian Caucus, the primary advocacy organization of the Asian and Asian-American community of Boston College. AC also oversees individual Asian culture clubs such as Korean Students Association, Chinese Students Association, and a multitude of others. Asian Caucus strives for representation and advocacy for Asians and Asian Americans, but is open to any and all interested students. The organization also offers mentoring through the First Year Formation Program, where upperclass students help empower first year students to become leaders in the community.
BC’s Cornerstone Seminar Programs offer first-year students a unique selection of courses in which the instructor is also the students' first year academic advisor. Cornerstone courses include Courage to Know, First Year Topic Seminars, and some sections of First Year Writing and Perspectives! #BC2024 - learn more in the Cornerstone community on My BC Orientation!
#BC2024 Hi! My name is Young, and I'm the Orientation Social Media Manager. I'm happy to introduce you to one of the many amazing resources on the heights: the Boston College Career Center. The CC team connects current students with a network of employers and alumni to support them on their career journey. They support students in career exploration and also as they search for internships and jobs. They also offer an incredible program for sophomores called Endeavor. I was an Endeavor Fellow this past year and helped lead participants through a few days of networking with alumni and exploring different companies in Boston! Make sure to check out "Career Exploration @ BC" on My BC Orientation!
#BC2024 We will be highlighting culture clubs on our IG platform over the next few weeks as they are an essential part of our BC community. First up is this year's Student Organization of the Year, the African Student Organization. ASO of Boston College is a premier cultural group that strives to introduce the diversity of Africa's cultures, traditions, customs, and politics to the BC community. They are not exclusive or limited to students of African descent but welcome all who have an interest in promoting the diversity of Africa's richness.
Feeling Like Ourselves: How and Why Literature Moves Us; #BlackLivesMatter to #MeToo: Violence and Representation in the African Diaspora; Living on the Water: Venetian Art, Architecture and the Environment; Growing Up Gendered: Contemporary Media Representations. #BC2024, if these topics peak your interest, you should make sure to check out the complete offerings of Complex Problems and Enduring Questions courses at BC. Each one is collaboratively taught by two faculty members from different academic departments and is designed to engage students in interdisciplinary explorations of topics of critical importance in our world. Check out the Core community on My BC Orientation for more info!

#BC2024: Can you guess the home of BC Football? Alumni Stadium is where our Boston College Eagles take the field on weekends. First constructed in 1957, Alumni Stadium has been renovated numerous times, with its current seating capacity at 44,500. As a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), our BC Eagles face off against opponents like the Clemson Tigers and the Miami Hurricanes. There are only 15 stadiums (college or pro) in the entire country with the 13HD technology that was introduced at Alumni Stadium; and BC is the only ACC school with the advanced outdoor video resolution. Go Eagles!

#BC2024: Do you know which one of our 8 libraries is the oldest? It's the one and only Bapst Library which opened in 1925! Bapst is well known as a home for students looking for absolute quiet to study. In 1993, the library was designated as the Art Library and it continues to support the University's increasingly interdisciplinary teaching and research needs. The Bapst Library contains over 51,000 volumes, 150 serial titles, and provides access to hundreds of databases, electronic journals and books. Bapst offers approximately 400 quiet study spaces in a combination of individual carrels and tables. Plus, it feels like you’re in Hogwarts when you’re sitting among the Bapst stacks! #BC2024 #BC360
