Class of 2024: Ever heard of the #ChocolateBar? It is one of the more popular conversation spots on campus! A little bit about Stokes Hall. Stokes Hall, one of the newest academic buildings on campus, is home to many offices on campus including Classical Studies, English, History, Philosophy, Theology, the PULSE program and the Academic Advising Center. Although mainly a classroom building, many students enjoy spending time hanging out in the Chocolate Bar located in the lobby of the South Stokes building. What is better than coffee and a truffle to help you study? The Stokes Lawn hosts many student events throughout the year and when the whether is nice, students often eat lunch in the Stokes Amphitheater. Comment below if there are other BC buildings you would like us to highlight on future #BCfirstyearfridays! #BC2024 #BC360

Class of 2024: Ever heard of a #MacAttack? A little bit about McElroy Hall. Situated at the corner of Beacon Street and College Road, McElroy is home to Campus Ministry, the Volunteer Service Learning Center, the BC Post Office, and the main Campus Bookstore - where you can find and purchase all of your game day gear as well as rent your books for classes each semester! McElroy also contains Carney’s Dining Hall where you can order the BC famous "Mac Attack" a meal composed of chicken fingers, french fries, AND mozzarella sticks! Eagle’s Nest, a popular lunch spot for all BC students is also on the second floor of McElroy Hall. McElroy, commonly referred to as Mac, is a place where many first year students, especially those who live on Upper campus gather to eat and complete group projects! Class of 2024: Ever heard of a #GassonGram? Allow our “tour guide” and FYE Grad Assistant, Miya, ‘19 to tell you about this special BC building: A little bit about Gasson Hall. It was designed by Charles Donagh Maginnis in 1908, and has influenced the development of Collegiate Gothic architecture all over North America. In addition to hosting various events and special guest speakers, this building houses counseling services, academic classes, and Michael the Archangel, one of the many beautiful statues that adorns the rotunda of Gasson Hall. During Convocation, you will hear the Gasson Bells toll as you process from the top to the bottom of the hill, officially starting your journey as a BC Eagle on the Heights! The best part? Gasson Hall is instagramable in every season, so you can #GassonGram all year long! Comment below if there are other BC buildings you would like us to highlight on future #BCfirstyearfridays! #BC2024 #BC360
