Come study in the Holy Land! Applications for the BYU Jerusalem Center's Fall 2024 program open on April 12. Considering the current unrest, a final go/no-go decision will be made no later than July 17. Upon acceptance, you'll live in the Center while studying the Old and New Testaments, ancient and modern Near Eastern studies, and the Hebrew and Arabic languages. Classroom study is integrated with field trips all throughout the Holy Land, as well as travel to Jordan and Greece!

Our next professor spotlight is Mike MacKay! What he likes most about working at BYU are the students! He especially loves serving in the community with them, like when they do homeless care at Catholic community services each semester. Professor MacKay is very grateful that he was able to participate in the Joseph Smith Papers Project. He's also enjoyed doing additional research on the production of latter-day Saint scripture with students and research assistants. A fun fact about Professor MacKay is that he served in the United States Air Force. Also, there are very few weeks in the winter that he doesn't go snowboarding!
