EASTFEST | Last Friday night students from St Mary’s attended the EastFest Jubilee celebration in Sydney. It was a wonderful evening of songs, prayer, and reflection as we explored what it means to be Pilgrims of Hope. Fr Rob Galea inspired us with his relatable talks and heartfelt music that truly moved the crowd. We ended the night with a BBQ and the special opportunity to meet Fr Rob himself! A night we’ll all remember. #EastFestJubilee #PilgrimsOfHope #FaithInAction #StMarysSpirit

PATHOLOGY | On Thursday 6th November, 27 students from Years 10 and 11 visited Southern IML Pathology in Coniston as part of National Pathology Week. The lab, which employs over 400 staff and is the only pathology lab outside of major cities, analyses more than 3,500 samples each day. Students learned about the diverse career pathways available in pathology and worked alongside doctors to explore how cancers are detected from biopsies and how different tests are run to determine causes of disease using agar. They also toured the facility, observing the high-tech equipment used to analyse serum, blood cells and more. It was an inspiring day showcasing the exciting opportunities in the field of medical science! #NationalPathologyWeek #STEMEducation #FutureScientists #StMarysCollege
