DA VINCI DECATHLON | On Thursday and Friday, our brilliant Year 7–10 teams proudly represented St Mary’s at the Regional da Vinci Decathlon, showcasing outstanding creativity, teamwork, and academic excellence. After weeks of dedicated lunchtime training, the girls approached each challenge with energy, determination and heart. Results Recap: Year 7 – 1st place in Art & Poetry and Engineering! An incredible achievement for their first Da Vinci as a team! Year 8 – No placings this time, but they had a fantastic day and represented the College with pride and integrity. Year 9 – 3rd place in Mathematics! A proud moment for a determined team. Year 10 – 2nd place in English! A bittersweet finish as they wrapped up their final Da Vinci experience with success. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who led training from Week 1, and to the amazing "shadows" who stepped up to support the teams behind the scenes. This wonderful result is a reflection of everyone's effort, commitment and passion! #DaVinciDecathlon #TeamStMarys #AcademicExcellence #ProudMoment #CreativeThinking #STEMChampions #GirlsInEducation

MILES FOR MARIAN | Year 11 Reflection and Social Justice Day Today, our Students completed a walking loop track starting from Wollongong Surf Club to Towradgi Beach Park to raise money for the Marian Bursary. The Marian Bursary, embedded in the Good Samaritan philosophy, provides much more than financial assistance. It offers hope, resilience, and opportunity, ensuring that no student is denied an education due to hardship. Students kept their spirits high as they continued to walk through the drizzle and rain this morning. Thankfully, the clouds parted and the sun showed up just in time for their lunch break and a round fun activities including Tug of War and Captain Ball before heading back to the College on foot again. Year 11 Students are currently fundraising and have raised $7,064 so far, but they need a little more help to reach their goal of $15,000! Please donate here to support this worthy cause: https://miles-for-marian.raiselysite.com/
