MEANINGFUL START TO 2025 | On Wednesday, our College community came together for two significant events marking the beginning of the year. We gathered in a spirit of reflection and gratitude for our 2025 Welcome Mass, presided by Father Sean Cullen. The ceremony included the presentation and blessing of Year 12 badges and Year 7 Bibles, as well as the official welcome of new staff members. We proudly recognised the outstanding achievements of our top performing students from the Class of 2024 at the Alumnae Assembly. Congratulations to all the students who received outstanding results in their HSC, including our College Dux, Evie Anastovski (Top ATAR of 98.8) – what an incredible effort and outcome. City of Wollongong Lord Mayor, Councillor Tania Brown (St Mary’s College Alumna) addressed the Assembly with an inspiring and entertaining speech. We heard about her journey into leadership which started from very humble beginnings. Tania shared one of her key learnings from Harvard about the power of non-verbal cues including – the ‘Wonder Woman Pose,’ which we promise to practice in the bathroom whenever we need a boost! Thank you to our wonderful students and alumnae community who constantly remind us that with hard work and determination, anything is truly possible. #StMarysCollege #WelcomeMass #AlumnaeAssembly #HighAchievers #Leadership #CollegeCommunity
