WORLD TEACHERS' DAY | Today, we shine a spotlight on two of our dedicated educators – Mrs Maria La Macchia, who joined St Mary’s in 2020, and Mr Richard Coward, who became part of our community this year. Both Maria and Richard reflected on a memorable teaching moment, and their pride and passion were clear to see. Their stories highlight the incredible impact teachers have on the growth and development of students, inspiring them with skills that last a lifetime. We’d love for our students to leave a message of appreciation! WORLD TEACHERS' DAY | This week, we celebrate World Teachers' Day and acknowledge the incredible impact educators have on the lives of their students. We spoke to some of our teachers and asked them to reflect on their teaching journey. Today, Mrs O'Dea, who joined St Mary’s in 2024, shared a moment when one of her students exceeded her expectations. Here’s what she had to say: To all the amazing teachers out there – thank you for your dedication and passion! #WorldTeachersDay #ThankYouTeachers #TeacherSpotlight #StMarysCollege #InspiringEducators #TeachersChangeLives
HSC | The HSC journey has officially begun for more than 76,000 students in NSW, including all of our St Mary Star of the Sea College students. With exams underway, we’re especially proud of students like Ava Hamilton, who is balancing her studies with her passion for volunteering with the NSW SES.
