NT IMMERSION | We had an incredible week in the Northern Territory, immersed in the heart of Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa). After flying from Sydney to Alice Springs, we began with a big grocery shop before heading 80km to Santa Teresa, arriving in time to celebrate the Feast Day of St Therese at Sunday Mass. Throughout the week, Eliza Campbell, Bridget Campbell, and Ainslie Thompson shone as dedicated Year 10 students and wonderful ambassadors for our College. They fully embraced the immersion experience, taking part in a range of rewarding activities despite the hot mid-30s temperatures. Highlights included: • Hiking to the cross on the hill • Preparing and delivering meals at the Aged Care Centre • Spending mornings at the Keringe Arts Centre • Time with local kids at the skatepark and basketball court • Journaling, reflections, and evening sessions at the recreation centre • Helping with clean-ups at the Church and skatepark • Building friendships with the community It was a week filled with service, connection, and reflection, and we couldn’t be prouder of the students' commitment. We leave Santa Teresa with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for this special community. #ImmersionExperience #SantaTeresa #CommunityConnection #CollegeAmbassadors #SMC
