CONGRATS | After attending the 2025 Leadership Induction Liturgy and being inducted as our 2025 College Captain on Wednesday, 4 September, Stephanie Staniforth then travelled to Kurrawa Beach on the Gold Coast to compete in the Life Saving World Championships.
Representing Bulli SLSC, Stephanie competed in five individual events, achieving incredible results! She placed 2nd in the World Youth 100m Manikin Tow, bringing home a silver medal and setting new personal bests in all her finals. Not only did Stephanie show her dedication to sport, after racing she caught the last flight on Sunday to return on Monday to sit her Year 11 Preliminary Examinations – a testament to her incredible work ethic.
Her recent journey perfectly reflects the qualities she will bring to the role of College Captain: leadership, dedication, resilience, determination and an unwavering commitment to excellence. She leads by example, inspiring those around her to strive for their best in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. We are excited to see the positive impact and how Stephanie will inspire the St Mary’s community in 2025!
