R U OK? Day at St Mary's | Today, our staff came together for a special Morning Tea and enjoyed some fun with Conversation Bingo in recognition of R U OK? Day. It was a great opportunity to connect and reflect on the importance of social connection and checking in with each other. Our Wellbeing Team also greeted students arriving this morning with lollipops and conversation cards, encouraging everyone to start meaningful conversations. Students showed their support by hosting a bake sale as well, raising awareness while enjoying some sweet treats! TOLL Ambulance Rescue & ACE Training | On Monday, four of our Year 10 students had the incredible opportunity to attend an invitation-only excursion, alongside 20 students from the Illawarra. They heard from experts including a Rescue Pilot, Rescue Paramedic, Aviation Crew, and educators in Drone Training! Our students also had hands-on experiences with flight simulation and pool training. LEARN 2 LEAD | We are incredibly proud to share that Year 9 student Audrey Mackey has successfully completed Tennis Australia's prestigious 8-week Learn 2 Lead youth leadership program, mentored by Casey Dellacqua. Audrey was one of only 12 girls selected from across NSW, aged 14-18, and she was the youngest participant! The Learn 2 Lead program is designed to empower young women with the leadership skills and confidence to drive positive change in their local tennis communities. Audrey has shared how inspired she felt working alongside Casey and her peers, forming lifelong friendships. As part of her journey, she even helped organise a school holiday tennis clinic at Fairy Meadow Tennis Club, encouraging younger girls to get involved in the sport.
