PI DAY | What an fantastic Pi Day Celebration at St Mary’s yesterday. We served up Crispy Crème donuts to satisfy those sweet cravings and raised funds for Caritas. But that's not all – students from Years 7 to 12 showcased their amazing talents in a Pi reciting competition during lunch! The atmosphere was buzzing as students recited as many digits as possible of pi they could, showcasing their incredible memory skills. With cheers of support all around, we witnessed some wonderful performances, with several girls memorising over fifty digits of Pi! Congratulations to two Year 7 students Rachael Cooley and Jhanisha Kana for their outstanding achievements! Rachael recalled 102 digits, while Jhanisha left us in awe with a staggering 124 digits! Congratulations to all participants for making Pi Day truly unforgettable! Let's keep celebrating the spirit of learning and camaraderie. #PiDay #CaritasFundraiser #Mathematics #SMC

HISTORIANS | Recently, students embarked on a captivating historical journey to the Australian Museum! Students from HSC Ancient History, Year 9 Elective History, and HSC History Extension delved into the world of Ancient Egypt, immersing themselves in artifacts dating back to the era of Ramses II. Guided by expert archaeologists and historians, they explored the significance of artifacts in historical study and reflected on how museums shape our perceptions of the past. Truly an enlightening experience! #HistoricalAdventure #AncientEgypt #MuseumExploration
