ENGINEERING | Over the summer break, two exceptional students, Ashley Bond (Year 11) and Hannah Bond (Year 12) delved into the Indigenous Australian Engineering Program (IEAS) at the University of Sydney. Selected among 25 students from the east coast, they immersed themselves in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engineering heritage, from cultural warrior cruises to mathematical equations in NSW crash labs. This journey expanded their engineering horizons, unveiling pathways from civil to aeronautical engineering! The girls were grateful for invaluable friendships and inspiring encounters, and urge Indigenous students passionate about STEM to seize this incredible opportunity!
