CHRISTMAS SPIRIT | Last week, Hayes came together to share some Christmas spirit with their annual Christmas door competition. The theme for the doors was 'I am dreaming of a purple Christmas'. Christmas doors are a festive way for each Tutor group to show their creative, holiday and house spirit and bring a sense of community to our Hayes corridor. Congratulations to Hayes 3 who were the winners of our competition this year with a wonderful purple display of lights, snowflakes, toy express and an Elfie selfie.

A SEASON OF GIVING AT ST MARY'S | In the final weeks of Term 4, our Year 7 engineering students have been dedicating their time and skills to craft wooden toys with the intention of bringing joy to needy families this Christmas. Under the guidance of our dedicated woodwork teachers Mr Hartnett, Mr Luck & Miss Pace, the students have been honing their skills to produce an array of ducks, geese and buses. The quality of the toys produced is excellent and they will arguably bring smiles to the faces of the recipient children. In another example of the servant hearted student body here at SMC, a select few Year 9 Textile students have given up their lunch times to sew superhero capes that will also be donated. It has been a joy to watch our students be so generous with their time and skills, a simple gesture that will have a profound impact on the lives of others this Christmas. The toys and capes will soon be distributed by the Lighthouse Community Kitchen, The Salvation Army Wollongong and Turning Point Camden. Thank you Ms Newtown, VET/Technologies Teacher for this great idea of giving.

THAT’S A WRAP | Celebrating the Conclusion of our 150th Year with Joy and Gratitude! Today's Christmas Mass holds special significance as it coincides with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. All around the world, Masses unite in following the readings and prayers of this sacred day. As our College is named in honour of Mary, and with the addition of a new St Mary Star of the Sea statue this year, it's a truly fitting way for us to conclude our 150th year—immersing ourselves in prayer and gratitude. The day concluded with the melodious voices of our House choirs, with Foley emerging as the victors this year! A harmonious blend of celebration and reflection marked this special occasion. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. Here's to a year filled with memories, growth, and the spirit of togetherness. May the festive season bring joy, peace, and warmth to all our College community! #150YearsOfJoy #ChristmasMass #Gratitude #FoleyVictors
