CHEMISTRY TITRATION COMP | On Saturday we had 8 teams of Yr11/12 Chemistry students compete at the Chemistry Titration Competition at the University of Wollongong. Titration is an experiment the students do in Chemistry where they are awarded an error score. Most teams average an error score of over 300.
On the day there were approximately 23 teams competing from a range of schools such as Smiths Hill, TIGS, Shellharbour Anglican, Bulli High school.
Our girls did exceptionally well. We had one team receive a Certificate of Merit with an error score between 100-200; 🏅Poppy Pollock, 🏅Juliette Thornberry and🏅Mairead Costello.
We also had one team receive 1st place with an error score of 17! This is the lowest error score that they have ever had at the university, so those girls will go on to compete at Nationals; 🥇Genevieve Bosker, 🥇Manna Berry and 🥇Laura Stanfield.
The university will let us know soon how the students placed across the State.
