We would like to sincerely thank all of our officers, volunteers, sponsors, Walmart South, and Chick-fil-A for helping make another Shop with a Cop event a tremendous success. Because of your generosity and support, we were able to bless 22 children, and even provide a little extra help for a few families in need. Events like this mean so much to us at the Cullman Police Department. Shop with a Cop is about more than shopping, it’s about building trust, creating positive memories, and showing our community’s children that they are valued, supported, and cared for. Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter, and spending one-on-one time with these kids reminds us why we do what we do. We are truly grateful to everyone who played a role in making this day special and for helping us continue to strengthen the bond between our officers and the community we proudly serve. 💙👮‍♂️🎄

Last night, the Cullman Police Department was blessed to come together for our annual Christmas Dinner and Awards Ceremony. This special evening was graciously sponsored by Premier Bank of the South, whose continued support of our department and community means so much to us. After enjoying a wonderful meal prepared by Stonebridge Farms and Kims Parkside Catfish. District Attorney Champ Crocker presented his Valor Awards to Investigators Nick Watkins and Hunter Riddlesperger, Officer Chad Ashworth, Sgt. Rob Long, Sgt. Zane Pounders, and Lt. Trey Higginbotham. Their dedication, courage, and commitment to serving our community set an outstanding example for all of us. Following the Valor recognitions, Chief Joey Duncan presented departmental awards to several deserving officers. A full list of award recipients will be shared later this weekend. We were honored to have several of our Cullman Police Department retirees join us, along with Mayor Woody Jacobs and Council Members Kim Hall, Paul Schafer, Chuck Shikle, and Jason Willoughby. Their presence made the evening even more special as we celebrated not only the accomplishments of the past year but also the relationships that continue to strengthen our department. A special thank-you goes to Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism for allowing us to use the Warming House at Cullman Christkindlmarkt. The space was perfect for bringing everyone together and made the evening even more enjoyable. It was a wonderful night of fellowship with friends, families, and colleagues. We extend our heartfelt thanks once again to Premier Bank of the South for sponsoring this year’s dinner and to our caterers for an outstanding meal. We truly appreciate the unwavering support shown to the Cullman Police Department and are grateful for the opportunity to serve such a strong and caring community. #CPDfamily 🎄🎅☃️

We were proud to host Cullman Leadership recently at the Cullman Police Department. We enjoyed a great meal together before Lt. Trey Higginbotham gave an excellent FLOCK presentation. Michelle Turner and Leann Chambers also provided a hands-on demonstration on evidence collection, showing how our team documents, preserves, and processes items at a scene. Sgt. Rob Long followed with a Taser demonstration. Special shout-out to Patrick Murphree for volunteering to be tased. That takes courage! We wrapped up the afternoon with a short tour of the department and some good conversations. We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with and support our community. Building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do, and we appreciate Cullman Leadership for spending the day with us.
