Students in Year 10 participated in an incursion today listening to a returned Vietnam veteran, Vin Cosgrove, talk about the reasons Australia went to war in Vietnam and learning about the experiences that he had during his time in Service. We thank Vin and Nancy Cosgrove for their time in helping our students understand more about the conflict in Vietnam and how it affected Australians. #mamrelearning
Year 2 travelled to Lizard Log in the Western Sydney Parklands earlier this week. Everything about this excursion was interactive and allowed the students to explore how objects move and react to force. They got their hands dirty making slime, investigated how different strengths of forces affected everyday objects by making and launching rockets 60m into the air, and tested their knowledge of energy through the Ranger Jamie Olympic Games. Students witnessed and discussed the simple ways they use push and pull forces in everyday life, allowing them to further develop their understanding of forces and energy and how they can be used for specific purposes in products. #mamrelearning
Le festival de film français: Yr 7s enjoyed their excursion to Leichhardt where they watched a film about recruiting for football, all in French, with English subtitles. #mamrelearning
