This new “100 colors” installation presents the conceptual exploration of “time”, creating an immersive world of colorful flow of time. Drawing inspiration from the circular shape of the museum, the installation is composed of layers of small circles, which are regularly arranged along the curved wall, forming a semicircular shape. The circular module is an abstract representation of an analogue clock, which is unleashed from its functional existence. Emmanuelle Moureaux wishes to give emotions through colors as she felt from seeing overflowing "colors" in Tokyo when she first visited in 1995. She also wishes to give opportunities for people to see, touch and feel colors with their senses to become more conscious of colors that exist around them. In "100 colors", Colors are explored in various forms depending on the environment, to maximize the beauty of colors. 100 colors entering the body with a glance triggers a physical response to engage with the sensation of colors. The installation series will continue to travel around the world. 2013年から手掛けている「100 colors」は、100色で空間を構成するインスタレーションシリーズ。環境に合わせて色のかたちを変化させ、色の魅力を最大限に引き出している。一目で視界に入る100色を全身で受け、色そのものを感じてもらう作品である。1995年に初めて東京を訪れた時、東京の街に溢れる「色」がエマニュエルの心に大きく影響を与えたように、彼女が創り出す色がたくさんの人々の心に届くことで、人々の色に対しての意識が少しでも変わるきっかけになってほしいと願っている。100色を見て、触れて、心で感じ、色を通してエモーションを感じてもらいたい－この思いを胸に、今後も「100 colors」を世界各地で展開していく予定である。
