SLEEPING WITH MICE. Our stay at Blue Lagoon was ruined because they provided us accomodation with a mouse infested room. Despite advising this to the resort, they did not resolve the problem or offer to move us to a different room. We ended up spending multiple sleepless nights with the family of mice. One of the mice even went on the bed and scratched my mother in laws feet until she woke up in horror. I have emailed a formal complaint and they have chosen to ignore us. Book at your own risk as this resort does not respect its patrons and will do little to ensure a positive experience once they have your money. This isn’t the first incident with mice if you look at their trip advisor reviews. Their response to another patron was that you are staying on an island and living with rodents is part of the experience. If you are unlucky enough to be given a room with rodents, don’t expect any action from them.

Never have we ever been treated with such ignorance and negligence by any accomodations in the past! We stayed at blue lagoon beach resort for 3 nights, and they were the longest sleepless nights we’ve had. We discovered mice infestation in our villa (which was an upgrade). Throughout our stay, we have complained a number of times to different staff members of this resort as soon as mice were discovered inside our room (including cleaners, receptionist and senior management staff) but not a single apology was made to us. No mouse trap was set up (even though being promised), no offer in changing rooms and no following up even after we made a formal complaint. My partner suffers from severe eczema and he had flared up several times being inside the room due to contamination from mice. Fiji is such a lovely place to visit and we’ve seen the most amazing beach and sunset on Yasawa island but I would suggest to look elsewhere for your accomodation. It’s such a shame that most of local people were so welcoming and friendly to tourists especially after 2.5 years of border closure, but this resort offered no care or compassion towards guests once money is in their pocket.
